Our founding restaurant opened 10 years ago on buzzing Chapel Street in South Yarra.
At Oriental Teahouse, we blur the lines between Chinese tradition and the Melbourne contemporary dining experience to create the ultimate Modern Chinese experience. David Zhou started Oriental Teahouse as a small tea shop on Chapel Street in 1993. The business has since flourished into one of Melbourne's go-to Yum Cha destinations, with 2 premiere locations as well as Zhou Zhou bar above Chapel S
A new team favourite. Our pan fried Veggie Gyoza with spicy chimichurri, served with a spring onion, garlic, chilli sauce and topped with coriander. Just enough spice to keep things exciting 🔥

A massive congrats to our champion dumpling, and a round of applause to our incredible runners-up, Ruby L's Firecracker Fried Chicken Wontons and Tess F's Mi Mi Mi Goreng Dumpling, who’ll take home $2000 and $1000 dining vouchers, respectively.

MI MI MI GORENG DUMPLING by Tess F
Sticky sweet Mi Goreng pork & prawn dumpling encased in crispy noodles and accompanied by chilli and kecap manis dipping sauces. Filled with mozzarella cheese.
FIRECRACKER FRIED CHICKEN WONTONS by Ruby L
Fried chicken wontons drenched in fire cracker sauce (think sticky, really spicy sweet chilli sauce) with crunchy coleslaw and pickled cucumbers.
APPLE OF MY EYE WONTONS by
A crispy fried wonton shell filled with an apple pie filling (think stewed apples and cinnamon) served with a side of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
