Great day at the 2024 Landscape Show held at Sandown Racecourse. Our raingarden, planter box, and planter liner display was a big hit. There was a moment's calm before the show began then non-stop foot traffic and questions. Thanks to everyone who visited our stand. And thanks to for brightening our display with so many wonderful plants. Visitors loved the purple kale!

Having a great day at the 2023 Landscape Show. Our stand looks fab and our cutaway raingarden is a huge hit. So too are our giveaways!

Bit of fun today to receive these pics from Viking’s Operations Manager who is currently hiking along Three Capes Track in southern Tasmania. Whilst the coastline is eye catching, so too are Viking’s above ground Thin Skin grease traps servicing the first of the purpose built cabins along the walk. Nice to know Viking products service far and wonderful regions.

Gee our fabricators get to make some fun things. Whilst this may look like a plastic yurt, it’s actually an upside down clarifier tank that will be used for water and wastewater treatment. A clarifier works on the principle of gravity settling. Heavier suspended solids settle in clarifier forming a bottom layer of sludge that can be removed.
Now that we’ve made a clarifier we’d be happy to make someone a yurt! 🤣

Today we’ve enjoyed fabricating two large bespoke fume extraction hoods for Hardchrome Engineering. The arched hood is 2200mm wide and 1600mm high. The wide mouthed hood is 4610mm x 1060mm high. They are fabricated with a combination of 6mm and 10mm polyethylene.
Special orders like this are really fun to make.

Viking Plastics were delighted to custom fabricate planter liners for Hutchinson Builders and their Watergardens Shopping Centre project in Taylors Lakes.

Introducing Viking's mobile paint wash station. It can be moved around a commercial building job site, or to other sites, for washing out paint brushes and rollers and capturing paint and plaster debris before the trade waste water is released to the sewer. This eco-friendly product is fabricated using Paneltim® plastic construction panels. Paneltim® tanks display exceptional rigidity and strength which makes them ideal for the rough handling they will receive on a building site. With a removable top trough, the lower tank is easy to clean and has a 25mm drain point. Paneltim® lugs underneath the mobile wash tank allow the whole unit to be easily transported via forklift or by use on a sling.

Lots of cool shaped plastic planter box liners for a job in Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. The liners were installed within steel frames reducing the overall weight of the planters and saving on building construction costs. We say "Yes"!

Scratching your head and wondering what on earth Viking Plastics has fabricated today? Well, stop scratching! It's a tailor made wastewater tank that is just waiting for a caravan frame to go on top. Cool!

Our client's orders for planter boxes come in all shapes and sizes! Certainly makes our fabricators' workdays interesting.

Viking Plastics' fabricators LOVE making big tanks. These great pics show our team making 20,000 litre grease traps for Dandenong Plaza. In fact, we made 2 x 20,000 litre tanks plus a huge pump tank that was installed in between the two main tanks on site. The tanks were all made using Paneltim plastic construction panels. At Viking, we say "yes"!

Viking Plastics is having a great day today at The Landscape Show. Thanks to Inge Jabara for presenting on behalf of Viking. Inge’s presentation (to a packed Learning Hub) demystified water sensitive urban design (WSUD). Inge showcased Viking’s solutions including stormwater detention tanks and rain gardens. Thanks to the organisers of the Show for a great event.

We’re doing it BIG today at Viking Plastics. In the foreground is a 20,000 litre, 6.5 metre long grease trap for Dandenong Plaza. The grey tank on the right is a 10,000 litre combined grease trap & pump station. The beige tank on the left is one of ten 10,000 litre grease traps for Melbourne Central. Behind three of our fabricators is a 4 metre high chilled water tank and behind that is a 40 foot container full of our Paneltim plastic construction panels! AND, there’s still plenty of space in the factory. Got a BIG project? We’ll say “yes”!

Headed out of the Viking Plastics’ factory today is the first of a number of 10,000 litre Paneltim grease traps destined for Melbourne Central. If you look closely, you’ll see wheels beneath the grease trap. This is because the grease trap is sitting on a custom built trolley that will assist in moving the grease trap into position on site. The trolley will return to Viking to transport the next 10,000 litre grease trap. We love innovation because we always say “yes’!

The bins are made from our 35mm thick Black Paneltim material with a custom metal base (we had that made for us) so the bins can be lifted then flipped over to empty the glass by forklift.

Overall external sizes of the bins are 1070mm Long x 870mm Wide x 935mm High.

"Gidday Joe, just letting you know that we have run Grease Trap Cleaning Service for about 45 years, and you can imagine what we have seen in that time. The best thing that has happened over time in cleaning is the Viking waste tanks. There has been plenty of inventions over time, large stainless lids are too heavy, flat long rectangle plastic lids warp and break and often are hard to seal and stop the smell, thus customers complain.
