Located on the Black Mesa in Yucca Valley, California, Andrew Rogers created two geoglyphs for his 'Rhythms of Life' land art project. The first, 'Rhythms of Life', spans 50 x 50 m and is composed of light-coloured stones, intentionally contrasting with the dark volcanic rock of Yucca Valley. The second, 'Atlatl', was inspired by a 3000-year-old Native American petroglyph of a spear thrower found in nearby rocky outcrops at Coyote Hole and the Rodman Mountains.
