HOW TO | prepare for your waxing appointment

TIMING IS EVERYTHING
Make sure you book your appointment when your hair is at least 1cm long.
Too short? The wax won’t stick. Too long? Ouch! It might be more painful.

EXFOLIATE
Get your skin ready for its big day! Gently exfoliate the area 1-2 days before your appointment to remove any dead skin buildup.
Dry skin? Not invited! It can act as a barrier to removing the hair and lead to pesky ingrowns.

HYDRATE
Moisturise the area in the days leading up to your appointment to make sure your skin is nice and hydrated.
Hydrated skin is less sensitive which will make your wax much more comfortable.

LOOSE CLOTHES
Opt for loose-fitting clothes on the day of your appointment.
Tight clothing rubbing against freshly waxed skin? No thanks! Let your skin breathe to avoid any unwanted irritation.

We are a busy salon located in the heart of Camberwell specialising in all things beauty-with our main focus being lashes + brows, spray tans, waxing, makeup and skin treatments. We pride ourselves on providing the best client experience which has gained us such a loyal client base that has allowed us to still thrive after 17 years! We have recently been recognised as one of the best spray tans in Melbourne and we are also an ABIA salon of the year finalist!

We value the importance of a supportive team environment along with ongoing support and mentoring which means we have the most amazing group of therapists that are the heart and soul of our salon (some of which have been with us almost 10 years!!)

DOS + DONT’S OF SPRAY TANNING

DO ✔️
-Exfoliate top to toe, focusing on dry areas (knees, ankles, elbows) This will make sure your skin is nice and smooth which helps achieve a flawless tan

-If you need to wax or shave, aim to do it 12-24 hours beforehand

-Bring loose dark clothing and thongs to pop on after your spray tan. If it’s raining, make sure you cover up and bring an umbrella (rain + spray tan = disaster)

DON’T ✖️
-Don’t apply any products before your spray tan (perfume, moisturiser, deodorant) These can turn your skin green and stop the tan from developing

-Don’t have hot showers. Quick, cool showers will maximise longevity. Always pat yourself dry with your towel

-Don’t forget to moisturise. Applying a hydrating moisturiser or tan extender will prolong the life of your tan and ensure it fades evenly.
