A bit of an update on the Multidrive landcruiser we purchased, finally got some paint on the cabin, so busy at work no time for projects, over the past 2 years with terrain tamer parts we have reco'd the transmission with upgraded 5th gear, heavy duty clutch, flywheel machined in house, reco'd transfercase with lower gear ratio, reco'd back l*d diffs with preload increase new h/duty wheel bearing kits, new shockers, new back brake calipers/pads and slotted disc's, reco'd front diff with truetrak l*d, new axle/cv/s, h/duty wheel bearings hub seal kit, brake pads, shockers, motor had inlet manifold clean out, new starter motor while we where in there, new water proof alternator, new thermostat, water pump, v belt, new terrain tamer h/duty radiator, terrain tamer brake booster upgrade, probably forgot a lot of things but all from terrain tamer and multidrive, if rio tinto can't kill it i will never wear it out. a testament to great engineering.

Change your cabin filters people! the worst one i have seen today.

We’ve done a couple of turbo replacements on KUN26 hilux’s these last few weeks.

Terrain Tamer 4WD do a turbo kit that comes with just about everything, Garrett redboost turbo, genuine gaskets, MAP sensor filter, turbo drain, oil and air filters. Easy Peasy!

Fuel gauge always showed empty, and the rear left door constantly showed open, which kept the car awake even when it was technically turned off, which would flatten the battery overnight.

Both of these things run through the rear SAM (signal acquisition module) so that was the first thing we looked at.

You can clearly see from the photos there was some corrosion on the board. Unfortunately even after a good clean, we couldn’t repair this one!

So a new OE module was fitted to fix the problem!
