Ignorance may seem blissful until it concerns your skin. Our skin functions as a complex ecosystem, harbouring underlying issues that often only reveal themselves when it’s too late.

At ODE Dermatology, we employ corrective protocols that target issues beneath the skin’s surface, such as sun damage, inflammation, and abnormal cell growth.

Clients often focus on visible signs of aging and dysfunction without realising these are symptoms of deeper, underlying issues.

ODE Dermatology, as dermatological experts, addresses all signs and symptoms so you don’t have to wear them.

ODE Dermatology is dedicated to achieving remarkable results. With our expert team of dermatologists, nurses, and dermal clinicians, we consistently transform our clients and surpass their expectations.

Here are some of this week’s successes:

👩‍⚕️ Client A: Hair Regeneration

ODE Dermatology excels in hair loss and regeneration. Our unmatched medical knowledge, advanced technology, and protocols have transformed this client’s appearance. Thanks to our team’s exceptional work, he is unrecognisable compared to his before image, but more familiar to his friends and family.

👩‍⚕️ Client B: Acne and Background Redness

Acne can be disheartening, often eroding our clients’ confidence and sense of self. At ODE Dermatology, we tackle acne with determination, using advanced technology like AviClear. We also address the redness and scarring that can follow acne, ensuring our clients don’t have to accept these post-acne conditions.

👩‍⚕️ Client C: Reversing Sun Damage

Sun exposure can leave skin looking lacklustre, with its effects becoming more noticeable over time. Our team at ODE Dermatology uses cutting-edge laser technology and expertly tailored settings to reverse years of sun damage, unveiling rejuvenated skin and renewed vitality.

👩‍⚕️ Client D: Enhancing Skin Luminosity

Environmental factors and lifestyle choices can gradually diminish our skin’s luminosity. At ODE Dermatology, we approach skin restoration with the same care as restoring cherished, time-worn furniture. Our expert team has brought back our client’s skin radiance, demonstrating results that speak for themselves.

ODE Dermatology is the authority in hair regeneration, acne treatment, and aesthetic enhancements.

Here are two of this week's remarkable success stories that have us buzzing with excitement at ODE Dermatology. Your victories are truly our victories...

Hair Loss: The remarkable transformation you see here is solely credited to our Hair Protocol. There was no need for oral medication in this case to restore our patient's hair to its current lush state. It's safe to say that both he and his mother were overjoyed to finally achieve this victory after a prolonged battle with alopecia totalis.

Pigmentation: As you can see, the results are self-evident—a clear canvas that speaks for itself. Skin pigmentation can be a challenging issue, especially for those with darker skin tones. At ODE Dermatology, our core principle is equity, ensuring that all skin types can be treated safely and effectively. These impressive results were achieved through just two sessions using Pico and Moxi laser technologies. Our ability to tailor settings and utilise these advanced tools uniquely for each client is a testament to ODE's commitment to pushing boundaries while maintaining the highest safety standards.

ODE Dermatology excels in hair loss treatment, addressing a diverse range of over 65 hair loss variations with comprehensive expertise. Our adept team navigates these intricacies with precision.

Based on extensive interactions with patients spanning two years, ODE Dermatology recognises a common misconception: hair loss is often simplistically categorised as male or female pattern balding or merely "alopecia."

To some extent, this perception holds true. "Alopecia" finds its origin in the Ancient Greek term "alōpekía," denoting "fox mange" or "fox disease." Initially describing a fox skin ailment, this term was subsequently adopted in medical terminology to denote human hair loss.

However, akin to all medical conditions, nuances exist, warranting distinct treatments. ODE Dermatology underscores the imperative truth that effective resolution of hair loss necessitates a profound comprehension of its type and underlying causality.

Our proficiency lies in skilful diagnosis and personalised treatment strategies that stimulate hair regrowth. The simplicity of our message, contrasted with the distressing impact of these conditions, carries a poignant irony.

Send this post to someone you know who may benefit from this inspiration.

This is a PSA- ODE can safely and effectively treat skin of colour.

Exclusionary culture is not our style but transforming lives is.

ODE has taken the guess work out of removing pigmentation by finessing our protocol to deliver impact while not exacerbating the condition.

Now is the time to claim the clarity you seek as we wrap up 2022 and commence another prosperous year ✨

Our patient, Truin, has a beautifully moving story ❤️

Truin has alopecia areata universalis which affects hair loss over the whole body rather than just on the head. This is considered an autoimmune condition with a tricky pathology.

Like many alopecia sufferers, she was feeling emotionally defeated when we first met, having tried many treatments, and consulted with a plethora of doctors.

Her partner, instrumental support throughout her journey, found himself one day in a conversation in a carpark which led to ODE Dermatology’s details being shared. Trepidatious yet, hopeful, Truin reached out in hopes that she could repair her sense of identity and resolve the debilitating condition that is alopecia.

“When I did my self-portrait, I left all my pimples out because you always should. Pimples are a temporary condition and they don’t have anything to do with what you really look like”- Andy Warhol

Andy was onto something. ODE thinks he’d be impressed with these acne results if he was still with us today, these patients certainly were ✨👩‍⚕️

See you at ODE ✨

ODE’S patient Anna is living proof that luminous skin can be achieved at ANY age, regardless of your starting point ✨

enjoyed a chuckle or two when Anna visited ODE to continue the bespoke treatment plan that was prescribed to her in Sept 2021.

When we first met Anna, she was experiencing rosacea as well as notable sun damage, something she puts down to one too many hikes and cruises. Anna cited these things as making her feel “less than her personal best” and dedicated 2022 to adhering to the result-driven plan developed for her.

It warms our hearts to feel her confidence radiate as she discusses where she was this time last year.

Our message to you today is, that regardless of your starting point, there is always a journey ODE can bring you on should you find yourself ready to change your narrative.

What is your ODE? 👇🏼

Seeing as has finished, we’d thought we’d pick up the job…

There's something about getting to know people that helps us to understand who we are and lends perspective to our own feelings and thoughts.

has been experiencing lacklustre skin recently and decided to drop into ODE. She enjoyed a BBL (not to be confused with a Brazilian Bum Lift) while our marketing manager delved further into the TV personality/activists, with a mix of questions.

If you have a Q for drop it below. We will ask her to answer it ✨

Can we see a show of hands for those who sweat profusely from their armpits?

This is an obvious sentiment… but it comes with some serious anxiety, are we right? That all too familiar anxiety that we smell, that the wet patches are visible, that people can sense our physical discomfort. We understand and you’re not alone.

Increased sweating can be attributed to genetics, diet, lifestyle and environmental factors, so a resolution can be tricky to obtain.

Don’t sweat it 😅 …ODE has a maintenance and management plan that’s sustainable.

Hit play to see how is tackling this debilitating issue.

Vitiligo is a condition that, on the surface, is relatively unknown to the everyday person. It’s not until you see an image of someone living with it that you would be able to connect the dots.

In recent years, we’ve seen advocates such as change the discourse around this autoimmune condition and what it means to live with it.

While the root cause is yet to be understood, here is what we do know about it ✨

• Vitiligo is caused by the lack of a pigment called melanin in the skin.

•Melanin is produced by skin cells called melanocytes. This gives the skin its colour.

•In vitiligo, there are not enough working melanocytes to produce enough melanin in your skin.

•This causes white patches to develop on your skin or hair.

👩‍⚕️Here is how ODE can assist ....

has multiple approaches, however, in this video, she is seen injecting a combination of growth factors and hyaluronic acid, combined with topical corticosteroids.

This will stimulate the pigment-producing cells to commence the production of melanin.

If you want to know more about how we can treat vitiligo, comment 💯 and we will be in contact 👏🏼

When did you have your last full skin check? ☀️

Skin cancer accounts for the largest number of cancers diagnosed in Australia each year, THAT’S HUGE…. and it doesn’t exclusively affect the mature portion of the Australian population.

What begins as an innocuous spot today becomes tomorrow’s threat. The good news is, if detected early, the survival rate is high which illustrates the need to prioritise your full skin check.

Dr Shammi Theesan recommends a full skin check every 12 months. Over the past 15 years, she has witnessed a sizeable portion of her patients’ lives being saved because of their annual skin checks.

When are you scheduling your skin check?

Acne and hair loss- It’s not an ideal combination.

This week, Claire consulted with to learn more about suspected hair thinning and a sudden surge in acne after using an expired product.

Each week, ODE has the pleasure of meeting patients that are experiencing a range of symptoms. On the surface, their symptoms present in a similar fashion, however, the causations are unique to their body, requiring bespoke treatment plans.

We are interested to learn what Claire’s causations are and how we can assist.

Allow us to set the scene…

You’ve just finished a course of Vitamin A, you’ve had AMAZING results, your skin is pimple-free for the first time in forever, but, you realise you have just entered another battlefield.

Cue acne scarring, the secondary problem to acne. You think, “It’s okay, it will fade…I hope” and you get on with life.

6 months pass and so does the PIE (post inflammatory erythema) but you’re left with indents in your skin, causing an inconsistent canvas and a resurgence of skin-anxiety.

Your makeup isn’t sitting right, light isn’t reflecting well in images and you’re lacking luminosity and vibrancy.

Many of us have been there. It’s deflating because so many people don’t hold discourse around this, it’s predominantly aimed at acne as a single topic.

ODE Dermatology views curing acne as a protocol journey rather than a single step. We house the technology required to rectify acne scarring. Pico MLA is brilliant and doesn’t require long downtimes, ongoing treatments, and is effective with all 6 Fitzpatrick skin types.

It’s a miracle that is yours to gift yourself post-acne. You deserve clarity 🌿

and discuss all things in an intimate discussion.

For those who may or may not know, has suffered with acne for the longest time, and she gets candid with Dr Shammi as we narrow in on causation, undiagnosed conditions and how we are going to manage it.

It’s a long, yet valuable, video that will bring relief to fellow sufferers to know that acne doesn’t discriminate 👩‍⚕️

These results speak for themselves 👏🏼

Our patient had obvious acne scarring on both sides of his cheeks.

performed a Pico Laser MLA and after one session, three days later, these are the results. Pico MLA is a unique setting that targets scarring through a focused target that resurfaces skin.

Changing lives through skin is our daily mission 🙌🏼

Skin cancers in people with dark skin often develop in areas that are not regularly exposed to the sun or routinely looked at.

This means changes can go unnoticed for longer than if they had occurred somewhere more visible.

In a recent conversation with , Dr Shyamalar Gunatheesan discusses how people with dark skin should check for skin cancer and the importance of being vigilant with our annual skin checks.
