With athletics currently in the off-season, let’s take a look back at some of the seasons standout performances. Today we’ll start with Jamison Harding who secured the win against a highly competitive open field at the Michael Buco Cup in Coburg (Sunday, March 24th) with a vault of…

4.02m!!!!!!!!!!!!🤯🔥

Not only was this a PB but it’s a World U20 Junior Qualifier, which Jamison has achieved at the age of 14!!!!!! This jump was also only 13cm shy of the Women’s U16 Australian Pole Vault Record (4.15m).

Additionally she broke her own club record (3.80m) which she set in late 2023. Another congratulations to Jamison for her incredible results this season! 🙌🏻

How Bree Walker became Australia’s most successful bobsledder In March 2024, Bree Walker claimed Australia’s highest bobsleigh honour, recording the nation’s first-ever World Cup gold medal.

We’re a bit late to the trend however it’s never to late to sign up to DAC. Our Cross Country season is in full swing but with 8 rounds ahead, there’s still time to sign up for the 2024-25 season. And don’t forget there’s Athletics later this year too! 🙌🏻

And we have our final podium(s) of the week, Harper Harding!!

Harper not only clinched the gold in the 80m Hurdles, but shattered our clubs long-standing record AND etched her name in history by setting a new championship record with 12.93!! 🔥 But wait there’s more! Harper also secured a bronze in the U13 100m (13.31), achieved 5th place in the U13 200m (27.16) and competed in the mixed U14 4x200m relay and U13 4x100m relay!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

🥇DOUBLE GOLD FOR JAMISON🥇

Jamison Harding is Australian Champion in both the U16 90m Hurdles and Pole Vault!! In a thrilling run to the line, Jamison secured the win by 0.02 with a time of 12.55!!💨 And to top it off, she has broken our club record! Jamison also dominated the Pole Vault competition, leaving a 70cm gap between herself and second place by soaring over 3.70m to take the win🥇🙌🏻

Podium Alert!! ‼️🔔 Shakira Harding not only secured one but two silver medals this week in the U18 400m Hurdles and 100m Hurdles!! 🥈 Shakira ran an incredibly quick time of 1:02.41 in the 400m Hurdles and has also broken our club record in the 100m Hurdles, clocking a time of 13.82!!!🔥

We have our first podium for this weekend!! Congratulations to Matthew Parrott for his outstanding final leg in the Men’s U20 4x100m 🥇 the team had a convincing win, delivering a time of 41.06 🔥

Abbey Caldwell secures her place in the Australian Olympic team with a stellar performance in the Women’s Open 800m!! Placing second at Aus Champs with a blistering time of 1:59.01 🔥, she’s now set to take the grand stage in Paris later this year!! And we CANT WAIT!!!
