Julee Latimer Art
I work with dried paint to create innovative and unique artworks.
The second of my works in the Executive Lounge at the Conrad Singapore Orchard Hotel is Wolf Moon.
One of my personal faves, this one is located in a small meeting room off the main lounge. The hot pink orchids set it off beautifully.
Difficult to get far enough away for a better shot so swipe to see the work properly.
So much fun to go see it in person.
So, so good to be in Singapore visiting the Conrad Orchard Hotel to see my works on the walls of their Executive Lounge. Here is me gazing at Walk the Line.
Thanks to Monica, the wonderful staff member who showed us around and to for making it happen.
This work looked beautiful surrounded by neutral colours and pale timber furniture.
Blue and Green should never be seen. Ha, whoever coined that phrase was sorely misguided.
A close up of one of my Flowerbombs.
Working on the colour scheme for the next Flowerbomb.
SOLD my glossy, gorgeous Back to Black.
I wonder if the collector is a fellow Winehouse fan.
Thanks to the team

Anzac Day today and here is Remembrance. Over 1000 paint poppies adhered to canvas inspired by thoughts of those who gave their lives defending their country.
Many thanks to Barbara Griesau for the initial idea.
Remembrance is part of my Flowerbomb Series, the first to be monochrome.
Available from www.juleelatimer.com
A new direction in my weaves sees them deconstructed and laid flat on vivid colour.
Making thread from paint continues to be seriously appealing.
Anzac Day is approaching and the studio is awash with poppies.
Thanks to Barbara for the idea.
Unfinished Business 2 hot off the press.
Unsupported paint threads woven and mounted on canvas.
153 x 60cm
Flowebombs are taking over my studio. Am obsessed, not only with the new series, but with dressing like them.
Does anyone else coordinate with their artwork, or is this some kind of strange quirk?
Oh, so blue in the studio today. Feeling well happy that the Flowerbombs are turning out exactly as they looked in my head.
Replacing concrete with sponge cake and paint with fondant icing makes for a whole different sculpting experience. Just as fun but oh so delish. Happy Easter everyone.
Having a mellow moment with my latest Flowerbomb.
This is 1 of 5 each one a different colour combo.
Unfinished Business is as finished as a deconstructed weave can be.
The beginning of a sparkling new series woven entirely from dried paint threads.
