We LOVE it when clubs make the most of their scoreboards with AWESOME GRAPHICS - Congrats to the Mitcham Football Club Graphics GURU 💪
Besides the schmick graphics, we switched on "layout access" for Mitcham. They can now create their own scoreboard layouts with the Solid system.

We found this image by googling "losers, thieves, hackers".

ALL CLUBS NEED TO HEAR THIS STORY.
Early last year we sent a club a pdf invoice for a deposit on a new scoreboard - a very LARGE amount of $$$!
Some of this money was sourced from grants. Plus, a TON was from fund-raising by hard working generous volunteers.
We sent the PDF to the Prez, the Prez sent it to the Treasurer.
The Tres called us and said "this BSB number looks odd" (what a bloody legend 😍!!).
The email in this chain had been HIGH-JACKED, the bank details were changed and then forwarded to the Tres. "Most" people would have trusted the PDF & deposited the funds, and lost it ALL. . . . . .
After a severe case of freaking-out in the Solid office, we changed our systems and added some manual double-checking for clubs sending funds. . . . . .
To the Treasurers out there - PLEASE be Wary!
We don't want this to ever happen to ANY clubs (whether you're buying from Solid, or others!). . . . . .

Slow day on the scoreboard support lines - all of the PlayHQ systems purring nicely.
So... a great time to grab the camera & visit some grounds.
Some serious cricketers out there, BUT who doesn't love watching guys intent on smackin it over the scoreboard? :)

Today’s example was a non-Solid scoreboard with half the screen failing.
Whilst we could not get there for the hardware repair, we were still able to logon & adjust the layout as a temporary fix.

There was a pile of Solid scoreboards (huge to small) connecting to the PlayHQ scoring system today :). With many more being connected over the next couple of weeks.
One small LESSON from one of our clubs today...
- The PlayHQ scoring app is very well designed and allows the scorer to keep scoring should the internet drop out. It will then upload the scores when the signal returns.
- The problem with this? Your scoreboard STOPS updating :(.
- If you notice this happening, it's worth double checking that the scorer's iPad hasn't dropped it's connection.
- You can also check this by looking for the scores online. They will have also paused. https://www.playhq.com/

This old gem at Bradman Oval Bowral has proudly entertained for decades.
Sadly, now unused. Even if young scorers with monkey skills were about, I’d say, the fun-police would disallow them ☹.
Solid was chosen to replace this scoreboard, we’ve done our best to blend it in. The same colour scheme and a similar set of layout options.
There is always a multitude of different visiting teams and events at this venue. With that, Solid has enabled the scorer of the day the choice of 4 different cricket scoring systems.
