Rainbow Lorikeets
Coloured Pencil
42cm x 29.5cm
Finally finished my next coloured pencil drawing. Been a long journey on this one, lots of distractions along the way.
Still learning what is achievable with coloured pencils but enjoyed creating this piece and very pleased with the result.
I recently had the pleasure of drawing these much loved toy puppies. They had loads of character and were in great condition for their age. We decided on this pose so that their eyes would follow the viewer from any angle.
Thanks Kathy for trusting me to capture these cherished puppies on to paper.
If you have some cherished toys you would like turned into a memorable keepsake to hang on the wall, send me a message. I would love to see what we can create.
I can now share with you the result of one of my latest commissions as it is now with the client . He’s actually an amazing jeweller in Sydney. I highly recommend him.
A photo reproduction in graphite. The photo was old and damaged so I had to use some imagination to get a complete image. Very pleased with the final drawing.
Please reach out if you would like to have an artwork commissioned. I’m up for any challenge.

The framed artwork of ‘the guys’
I wanted my daughter to really appreciate the drawing I did for. The result was a high quality digitised copy printed onto a smaller A2 size stretched canvas. The idea is not to hang but let her carry it around and place it where she wants. She’s 2 so there is a lot of carrying and placing in different areas of the house and the occasional walking on it. She loves being able to hold her picture of her guys.
I’m open for commissions if you would like to have your child’s toys drawn. I know my daughter loves seeing her favourite toys in a picture. Send me a message and we can discuss options.
I got featured in the . They have a page dedicated to showcasing artwork from amateur artists. Thanks for the opportunity. Send me a message if you want prints of the kookaburra drawing. It’s Printed on A3 size 100% cotton paper.

This is a selection of my daughters cherished plush toys, drawn using her set of beginner oil pastels. I will be hanging the original up in her room. Hopefully it makes her feel safe and not creeped out.
It’s been a while since I last completed a drawing. Lots of changes in the last 2 years and not much drawing motivation. So I decided to challenge myself and try a completely different medium. Oil pastels are quite challenging and I constantly had to stop myself from getting bogged down with details and crisp edges. But overall I’m happy with the result.
Really loved working in colour for a change. I will defiantly be doing more colour. Maybe more oil pastels.

Get in touch if you would like prints of the above artwork or if you would like your child’s own favourite toy/plush toy drawn.

yes please. Winning this would help me branch out into colour.
One of my limited edition prints looking mighty fine, floating in a box frame. A floating frame shows off the quality of the 100% cotton paper that I use for my prints.

Some fresh prints going off to a soon-to-be very happy customer. It blows my mind every time how similar the prints are to the original drawing. Thanks David at for the amazing prints.
I have been working on a drawing, on and off for a good couple of years. It has lots and lots of detail and I get absorbed every time I get stuck into it. But I have no idea when it will be finished.
This is a small section of the drawing showing some of the detail. I’ll be posting more images of the details of this drawing in the coming days.

Here is a commissioned artwork I completed at the beginning of the year. Buffalo Portrait on A2 180gsm Arches.
I really enjoyed creating the different textures on the buffalo. I used Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black pencils for this one. These pencils produce a nice dark rich tone without the silvery shine of regular graphite.

I get my artwork professional digitised at a very high resolution. The reason being is that I can then print extra large. The size of this print is A2(42cm x59.4cm) and the original drawing was done on A3(29.7cm x 42cm). The quality of the enlarged print is excellent. If you want a specific size one off print send me a message and we can sort something out.

Detail of my elephant bull drawing 🐘. Can you imagine how many steps these feet make everyday. I find it amazing how elephants use their feet to communicate by picking vibrations in the ground.

I have been asked what paper I use for my prints. The answer, only the best! Archival quality, 310gsm, 100% cotton rag(paper) made by Breathing Colour. The surface texture is more on the rough side. These prints will not fade or discolour for a very very long time.
Each print comes with a certificate of authenticity. Explaining a bit about the medium as well as the artwork and edition number.
