About FP
Introducing First Principles, a made-to-measure denim label born in Japan and designed in Melbourne. Current waves of customisable and personalised products have hit the fashion industry hard. FP’s vision is grounded in the idea that jeans made for an individual’s shape and style should be a standard in today’s environment.
The brainchild of two ex-investment bankers and two other directors with this vision, FP was dreamt up as an idea to fill a hole in the large and growing denim market. Jeans that look great, feel amazing, fit perfectly, and last forever – that was the object for co-founders and designers, Rannia Al-Salihi and Supriya Dixit.
FP offers an integrated in store and online made-to-measure service which begins at the label’s flagship store on Lt Collins St. At the studio-cum-boutique, the customer’s unique digital pattern is built with a specialised consultant. From there, the wearer is in control. With access to the 3D Curate Tool via the FP website, the customer chooses the style, cut, waist height and detailing of their jeans.
Within four weeks, the pair arrive at the customer’s door and the order process can be repeated virtually via the website. FP gives the customer the luxury tailored experience, coupled with the comforts and benefits of technology to meet online shopping needs.
