Today is Friday the 13th is actually good luck as its associated with the 13 cycles of the moon in a lunar year, this is why a woman have 13 cycles a year.
Before patriarchal times, Friday 13th was considered the 'DAY OF THE GODDESS' - a day to worship the Divine Feminine that lives in us all and to honour the cycles of creation, fertility, death and rebirth.
Friday 13th was considered a very powerful day to manifest, honour creativity and to celebrate beauty, wisdom and nourishment of the soul.
A woman was considered to embody divine and magical powers - when she got her period. She was regarded by all for her wisdom, and ability to offer intuand psychic messages... & it was only when society became more patriarchal that women were made to feel ashamed when they were having their periods and to ignore their amazing potential to create and hold space for new life.
Friday 13th is profoundly sacred & femininity - Friday, which is ruled by
'FREYJA' a Norse fertility Goddess (as well as Venus and other feminine deities) is regarded as a sacred day for honouring the feminine within all of us and pampering ourselves... represent the mid-point in the cycle between something new emerging & something old slipping away.
