The Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI) aims to undertake research and to implement and to translate the generated clinical, health services and public health knowledge, underpinned by cross sector end-user engagement, to improve health outcomes. As a collabarative partnership between Monash University and Monash Health, located within the Monash Health Translation Precinct, MCHRI is a unique non-disease, non-discipline specific "implementation laboratory".

The 10th annual Lloyd Cox Memorial lecture "Research with Impact: Translating Womenâs Health Research in to Practice and Policy" will be presented by Professor Helena Teede AM, Director of the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation - MCHRI.
This lecture is hosted by the Robinson Research Institute, The University of Adelaide and will be held on Wednesday 23 October, 5:30 - 7pm ACDT, Lecture Theatre G030, Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences Building (AHMS), University of Adelaide.
This free public annual event is aimed at researchers, policy makers, academics, clinicians, and the public who have an interest in women's health and reproductive medicine.

A/Prof Amanda Vincent presented an update on the new POI Guideline to over 1000 at the IMS World Congress on in Melbourne. She is Co-Chair of the Guideline Group and leads the Translation Program where she is develops resources for women, including the Ask Early Menopause App - www.askearlymenopause.org.
Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is the loss of normal ovarian function or menopause before age 40 & affects 4% of women. A/Prof Vincent's work will have an incredible impact on the future of early menopause care and womenâs health.

Today, our CRE in Womenâs Health in Reproductive Life (CRE WHiRL) released the new Australian Evidence-based Guideline for unexplained infertility, with new Translational Program resources, including an Ask Fertility App.
The Guideline has the evidence to guide health professionals in diagnosing and treating unexplained infertility, so patients can avoid often expensive, ineffective, or unproven treatments, and receive the best advice and care for optimal outcomes. It will help to streamline and simplify treatments, potentially reducing cost and increasing equity.
Lead researchers, Prof Rob Norman, Dr Michael Costello and Prof Helena Teede partnered with ESHRE to develop the Guideline and engaged Australian experts and consumers to adapt it for use in Australia.

We celebrate Monash Health endocrinologist Professor Helena Teede AM who has been honoured with the Australian Medical Associationâs (AMA) Women in Medical Leadership Award.
Prof Teede and Royal Melbourne Hospital emergency physician Dr Sarah Whitelaw were jointly recognised as âgender equity trailblazersâ who have shown âunwavering commitment to improving women's participation in healthcare and leadership,â said AMA President Professor Steve Robson.
Helena is Professor of Womenâs Health and Equity at Monash University. She is also Director of the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation - MCHRI, a Monash Health and Monash University Partnership Centre.
She spearheads the Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership (AWHL) initiative.
The large-scale national research project, of which Monash Health is a lead partner, seeks to foster a workplace environment and opportunities which enable employees to reach their full potential.
âHealthcare has a 78 per cent female workforce, yet we have major inequity in leadership roles,â Prof Teede said.
âMy focus has been on using evidence to support gender equity and diversity in leadership as a foundation across healthcare, medical research, education and training.â
Prof Teedeâs work has âpaved a path for generations to continue in her footsteps," said Prof Robson.
