Winter sun warming up this tactile neutral palette for current project FOAM HOUSE 🤍
•
This morning I presented the Design Development stage of this project to my lovely clients, which includes detailed design concepts for each space with samples of all material specifications, backed up by 3D renders to accurately illustrate the design direction.
•
The focus for this project is to create a functional and beautiful family home with a focus on longevity and versatility as their two young girls grow.
•
The material selections are neutral but textural, practical yet aesthetic, the perfect backdrop for modern family life. 🤍
Kind words from happy clients at FULTON HOUSE.
•
I loved helping these guys unlock some problem areas within their floor plan, which resulted in a more functional kitchen including their dream island (which they previously thought there was no space for!) 🍾
Custom joinery at TI-TREE house made use of a “dead zone” in the living room providing a focal point and much needed storage.
•
This multipurpose space was designed so it could flex between WFH desk to cocktail bar with ease, depending on the client’s needs.
•
Taking the joinery up to the cornice provides ample storage and creates a seamless, built in look.
•
If you have an awkward or unused area in your home, a custom designed joinery piece could be the way to go. Say hi today and let us help you maximize the potential in your home!

A peek into the kitchen design development at LAKEVIEW HOUSE
•
Starting with the concept we pull together materials, inspiration images, hardware and lighting for a snapshot of the overall look and feel
•
Next design elevations rendered in selected materials illustrate to the client every angle and element in the space. We add detailed dimensions later at Documentation stage 😉, for now it’s all about diving into the functionality and design of the space with our clients.
•
Finally, nothing sells the vision quite like a 3D render 🤩

Preliminary render for the master ensuite at FEDRA HOUSE. Soft, creamy n**e tones are the brief for this teeny space.
•
Also, storage. By extending the mirrored shaving cabinet over the toilet we not only increase face level storage but the wall of mirrors reflect light and gives the illusion of more space. Win win 👌🏼
Preliminary materials palette coming together for the renovation of a 1970’s Mid Century style farmhouse. 🖤
•
Existing black woodgrain joinery will be retained & reworked, as will beautiful original slate floors in key areas. We are building a textural and neutral palette around those elements with the aim of re-instating MCM inspired details, and stripping back “country” elements introduced through several renovations over the past 50years 🥴
•
Kicking off later this year, I’ll be sharing lots more of this project in the coming months. It’s going to be a goodie!
Renders for our kitchen design at project LAKEVIEW HOUSE.
•
We are relocating the kitchen from a back room which was cut off from the living areas. It will now sit proudly at the end of a large living/dining space.
•
Where the kitchen was, we are creating a light filled Conservatory, perfect for reading the paper with a cuppa in the morning. Glazed steel doors connect the spaces and allow the morning light to flood into the kitchen.
•
A butlers pantry makes clever use of wasted space under a staircase with a beautiful arched reeded glass door feature 👌🏼
•
We can’t wait to see this beauty come to life in the coming months

I know you all love a Before/After! And this one’s a goodie 😍
•
We started with a dark, small, builder grade, beige laminate bog-standard early 90’s kitchen 🥴. The materials were worn, storage was lacking and the layout not functional for family life.
•
Firstly, we removed a wall dividing the kitchen and laundry/powder room, to unlock some much needed space for the kitchen. The powder room was relocated to a dead space under the stairs and we incorporated a euro-style laundry into the kitchen joinery.
•
The existing layout had a small peninsula at the entry, blocking sight lines and making the space feel closed in. Instead we designed this recycled timber arched island w tiled pedestal, perfect for a morning cuppa, vino with friends or folding the laundry 👏🏻
•
The result? A bright, multi-functional space with loads of storage, and not to mention, personality!

Setting the VISION for new project FOAM HOUSE 🌊
•
Bright, light and timeless is the brief for this family home, a stone’s throw from the beach. While the palette centers around white tones, we are adding in lots of lovely texture, timber and stone for warmth and interest.
•
With a limited footprint to work with, we are employing some clever tricks to unlock wasted space and really maximize functionality and storage for this growing family 🤓
•
More on this project soon!
BEFORE: recently renovated yet dark and uninviting / AFTER: light, bright and warm ☀️
•
While aesthetically this kitchen was not a vibe, the joinery was new and in good condition. So we opted to keep the cabinet units and reshuffle them to create a better flow and more open feel.
•
Next we replaced the chrome and charcoal accents with warm timber elements, organic Japanese tiles and VJ paneling to transform the space into a bright and welcoming family kitchen.

Sweating over the weekend and today it’s cool enough to light that fire.
•
Forever obsessed with this multi purpose bench seat we designed for SUSSEX HOUSE. Clad in limestone pavers with integrated timber joinery drawers to house kids toys & electrical equipment.
•
The perfect meeting of form and function 👌🏼
Details at TI-TREE HOUSE 💚
•
The brief for this kitchen was all about texture, inspired by the rustic tones of the surrounding coastal Ti-tree scrub.
•
We wanted it to feel soft and welcoming, not shiny and clinical. Curves, handmade tiles, recycled timber and the most perfect murky green joinery does this nicely. 👌🏼

A grand estate with European farmhouse influences and a soft, welcoming palette 🍃
Sunday morning spent touring the incredible mid century home of and chatting all things design alongside
•
Simone’s eye for layering furniture, art and objects is truly inspiring. So much rich texture and visual interest, yet the space felt so warm and inviting. 🤍
The easiest way to avoid a ‘boring’ white kitchen?
•
Use a cabinetry front with dimension such as VJ grooves or a shaker profile.
•
Such an easy hack for adding depth and visual interest to your space.

•2024 TRENDS // PINOT NOIR •
•
This one’s right up my alley 🍷😉
•
Burgundy, Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot, whatever you call it, there’s no denying red wine tones are showing up all over interiors.
•
These are bold and rich tones not for the faint hearted, but there are some not-so-scary ways to incorporate into your home. Furniture, cushions, rugs and art are great ways to dip your toes into a colour trend.
•
Or go all out to create a moody, warm, cocooning space to curl up and enjoy a glass of local Pinot.
Cheers to that! 😜
Is it a desk or is it a bar? Hey, on Fridays it’s a little bit of both 💻🍸

• 2024 TREND // MODERN MOROCCO •
•
While the popularity of Moroccan design and its ubiquitous Zellige tiles are nothing new, I’m seeing a lot of cleaner takes on the aesthetic emerge.
•
Stripped back, with a dusty monochome palette and focusing on the beautiful texture of raw materials, this is a minimal take on moorish design, and I’m here for it 🔥
When designing an open plan home, it’s vital to consider the view from all angles.
•
If you can see your kitchen from the sofa, do you want to look at a sink full of dishes? 😅
•
Before we dive into aesthetic design details, we take an in-depth look at your floor-plan, employing spatial planning to optimise flow & sight lines.
•
It may not be glamorous, but it’s essential to ensuring your home feels just right. 🤓

This island, she’s my favourite 🤍
•
Is it because it goes against the norm? It’s curved shape, handcrafted from solid recycled timber and supported with a tiled post, are not your usual kitchen island elements.
•
Nope, it’s because it has created a place to gather in a small kitchen where a traditional island wasn’t possible. A space to share a cuppa with friends, feed the kiddos, fold the laundry, enjoy a wine at the end of the day.
•
It may be small, but it’s presence has made a mighty impact on this kitchen 💪🏻
