This week Brett from Be Assured Home Maintenance told us about the importance on maintaining your home before things around the house NEED to be done! Regular maintenance is always more cost effective then ignoring issues that eventually may need replacing. Especially timber windows, doors, decks and bathrooms that can be surprisingly expensive to rectify.

As well as improving the day to day liveability, keeping your home well maintained will generally give a higher return on your important investment when it comes time to sell. If you are needing any work done around the house get in contact with Brett from Be Assured Home Maintenance.

Repairs to timber rot in windows can often be performed, depending on the extent of the damage and how many sections have been affected. The pictures show a straightforward replacement of a section of rotted Sill.

I felt so lucky to have Brett’s help when I moved into my new home. All those little jobs that needed to be completed were taken care of with no fuss. In all the craziness of moving and setting up a new home, it was great to know that there were some things I didn’t need to worry about.

As a single mum of an all-female household, I’m very wary of giving people access to my house. Brett was so trustworthy and easy to deal with, and I felt comfortable with him working in my home, even when I am not there.

My move from the family home was traumatic for me and for my children. Brett was calm, organized and safe, and I felt able to trust him to take care of things for me.

Brett undertook maintenance work at our Mount Eliza property during March/April 2020. Brett restored many of our balcony balustrades, weatherboards and window frames, which had become rotten and degraded over time. He replaced some – which he handmade – and fixed others, all with a fresh paint, making them look better than ever. Brett is extremely meticulous in his work, and it really showed – our tired looking home really had a facelift after Brett’s attention and we are super grateful. He was respectful of our home and family and communicated daily to keep us updated of his progress. He also makes great cookies! Thanks again Brett.

COVID-19 guidance for our clients, suppliers and contractors
Given the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and its declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a global health pandemic, BAHM is taking considered action to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of our clients, guests, suppliers and contractors.
BAHM has implemented safeguards that meet official Australian Government COVID-19 guidelines and taken additional steps to minimise impact:
BAHM has suspended all home and business internal work unless strict hygiene practices can be adhered to by all parties.
We are still working on the exteriors of domestic and commercial buildings and
in line with increased social distancing measures by the Australian Government
Meetings:

Remote meetings - In many situations, the viewing of new potential work can be remotely by using simple apps such as Face Time or Messenger Video. Although this is not as thorough as a physical inspection it often will be satisfactory to achieve a budget quote.

Face-to-face meetings will only be held if an in-person meeting is critical and with a single individual and for the shortest duration.
We exercise caution in meetings (always outside where possible, crowd minimisation, spacing people 3 to 5 metres apart, no handshaking) with heightened hygiene practices and ensure all attendees are aware of this public statement prior to the meeting.
BAHM uses hand sanitisers, surgical gloves, disinfectants, and face masks whenever applicable to promote a healthy workplace, and we encourage others to follow the same minimum standards.
