What moment or situation has been your most memorable teacher when it comes to stress management?

For me it was my work as an Arborist. A role I took up when panic and anxiety was at its worst for me. It thought me to find calm when all my senses were going bonkers and I felt like I was about to loose control.

It’s in these moments where control seems all but lost that we learn how resilient we really can be. By getting through these moments and then taking the time after to observe and understand how we did it, we can then learn from it and begin to confidently go through these moments of extreme stress and anxiety in the future. Build mental strength and resilience and take back control.

I’ve spent the majority of my adult life looking for a male mentor/role model to guide me and teach me how to be better at being me.

I would find one and without them knowing put them in this position of responsibility, ultimately they would let me down through no fault of their own and I would take it badly.

The moment I began using breathwork to help myself I knew that this was the thing I was looking for. And over time it allowed me to regain control over myself and let go of the chains of the past.

I know now that I am becoming the man I always wanted in my life and it’s so comforting and rewarding to know that I no longer need to rely on others and I am there for me, strong, confident, empathetic, peaceful and full of self love.

Exercise is so very important when it comes to mental fitness for so many reasons.

We tell ourselves that we go to the gym, run, ride etc. to get fit but also to allow ourselves to let go of our emotions, frustrations, sadness etc. But upon commencing the activities we don’t make a sound as we go through something physically and mentally demanding.

Why? Because someone might hear our noise and make judgments.

We put ourselves through suffering on purpose to become better. But we expect this to happen with out expression. With out this expression we run the risk of taking it home with us again.

Now I’m not saying you have to be loud so everybody can hear you, just enough so you can hear you. Work hard, feel it, let it out. Ignite the inner warrior, cave man or woman by letting out a grunt or three from the back of the throat, breathe loud so you can hear it. Let your nervous system know that you are doing something important and it needs to wake up! Feel the workout, feel the emotions as the come up and let them out!

You’ll be surprised at how much more you achieve and how much better you feel!

This week I have had no social media or emails on my phone. I use the business app to post and help run my businesses, there is no scrolling.

I have felt so much better mentally and more motivated to keep doing things than I have in ages. My mind feels way less scrambled and my memory is better.

Hopefully I can keep it up. It’s a tough because I rely on social media to run my businesses but am happy to encourage everyone to use it much less.

Give yourself a break and see how it goes.

I knew as soon as my first breathwork session was complete that I had found what I had been searching for.

I had been trying so hard for so many years to get on top of my mental health. And many times I thought I had only to be reminded how far from ok I was. I tried everything with no real results.

Finding breathwork allowed me to release all the emotions I was afraid to show in the past. All the sadness, fear, anger, rage, joy, happiness and love that I had pushed down and not allowed to be seen by others of truly felt by myself. Breathwork gave me the opportunity to let go of all of it, to see those moments from the past, to let them go and understand them better.

And then learning how to breathe better for better physical and mental health whilst being in control of my nervous system was a gift I will forever be grateful for. No matter the situation now, I am in control, I am n charge of me, no situation will ever dominate me into a state of fear, panic and freeze again. I am confident within my body.

The work continues as life does.

Facilitating Breathwork is an honour for me. Facilitating Breathwork for Women is an honour and a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

It’s potentially not easy for Women to feel safe enough to be vulnerable and heal, especially when confronted with a Male facilitator (particularly one who looks like he’d fit in with a biker gang!).

The majority of my participants are female and it is my role and responsibility to ensure that all my participants feel safe, comfortable loved and taken care of. By offering a secure feeling of safety first and foremost then we can begin the process of unraveling the past, letting go of fears and freeing ourselves from anxiety, pain and trauma.

Safety + Vulnerability = Healing ❤️‍🩹

6pm - 31st of July is your time to join a group of like minded men to share, learn, release stresses and let go of the past.

I will teach you how to manage stress better and how to understand, navigate your nervous system and how to learn to let go. I will share with you my story, how it broke me and how I rebuilt myself. We will have an open share and discussion so we can get things off our chests. We will also take time for a full deep dive breathwork session where you will be fully guided and create space for yourselves to let go and release all the things.

Hopefully this will be the first monthly group. I'm looking forward to it already.

Join me on Monday morning on Instagram at 6am as I begin what hopefully will be a weekly free breathwork session. It will be a slow and gentle way to begin the week.

We will take a moment before all the things that we need to do, to figure out who we are, who we were, where we want to go with the week and understand what challenges that lie ahead of us, reducing anxiety. A rare opportunity to sit with ones thoughts and feelings before all of life's challenges, joys and stresses kick in for the week.

This will be a 20-30min breath flow, nothing too intense, designed to set you up for a good day and week. I do these flows sitting up and fully present in the moment.

No need to book in, no payments, just be there at 6am. Each Monday live will be reposted for those that miss it.

A great day out today at Barry Callebaut chocolate factory in North Melbourne. Teaming up with to talk to the staff about stress management, the nervous system, nutrition and breathwork. Talking tips and tricks to help the staff manage themselves and each other better in a demanding work environment.
And it just happened to be their bring a plate to work day and we fantastically fed. An amazing group of people with an exceptional work culture to be proud of. Many thanks to them for having us and for listening.

An absolutely amazing morning spent with some of the Men from . We had a good chat about breath, the nervous system, stress and performance. I introduced the men to a gentle breath flow for relaxation and focus.

After all that we did the benefits of cold exposure and ice baths. Then we bathed in ice.

It’s interesting to see the level of stress in the morning after a nights sleep. I felt like I hadn’t slept well so potentially could have had a higher stress level upon waking. Cold shower shows the stress level spike, then the breathwork immediately after takes the stress right down.

If you find yourself stressed before or after an event. Specific planned breathing will help you calm and lower stress levels and heart rate.

Intentions are very powerful. If you choose to use the breath to alter your state you set the intention for the breath.

For example:

I want to calm myself - 5 sec in, nose. 8 sec out, mouth. Slow, gentle, peaceful.

I want to hype up for something serious - 5 sec in, nose. 8 sec out, mouth. Hard, fast and aggressive.

Understanding how this works changes everything!

I coach because I love to watch people learn how to move, discover how to make the connection between mind and muscle creating movement. I love to see people make progress that they never thought possible.

I’ve always been active. I played all the sports at school in England. I mostly loved Rugby Union and Swimming. Representing various levels at both. I then went on to pursue a career in Tree Climbing as an Arborist. All the while dealing with a life time of back issues. As I got older the ‘issues’ began to get worse and more frequent. Throughout this time I was an active gym member, triathlete, runner and eventually CrossFit and Olympic Lifting competitor. I focus on teaching correct movement, mind muscle connections, injury prevention and mindset. I love hearing how clients gym work positively affects their lives. I also coach clients for local competitive events, making sure they are ready for the event fitness wise but also mentally.
