I want to thank everyone who has been a client of citywide fitness over the past 12 years. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve what we have without you all and we truly appreciate your support
Our aim through the whole experience has been to “Leave People Better than we found them” and our success with this is something we haven’t been able to fully comprehend until now.
When Jay came up with the idea to open an “indoor bootcamp, on the Eastern Shore that was Women Only with no Running” I don’t think he, or I ever imagined that Citywide Fitness would become what it has been.
We never imagined we would be self employed, growing so rapidly we needed staff and more equipment and more sessions. We never thought we’d hire a manager, run multiple Locations and run a business for 12years, yet at the same time, we thought it would go on forever
This is not the ending we imagined, we weren’t ready to be done, but I think we have made peace with the outcome, even though it still hurts and it is heart breaking that our hands were forced into this decision.
Our family have grown up with Citywide Fitness, our clients have become friends and family and I will be forever grateful for the way Citywide has changed our lives.

Change often means there's going to be friction.
Going from one way of life or doing things into another.
Things are going to be tested in ways they haven't before and this can be challenging!
It's ok though...change is ok and challenges are always going to be a part of life.
Knowing this will help you to embrace the challenges and encourage you to push towards them instead of being fearful and running away.
The good news...?
There will be a tipping point where a lot of the time, energy and effort you've put in starts to pay off.
This feeling...the reward for effort feels great...but don't get complacent there...celebrate and keep working.

Every day, take at least 30 minutes to move your health and fitness forward.

30 minutes is a low end goal...the minimum standard or habit you should build from.

This doesn't mean a 30 minute workout (although it could be), it means a minimum of 30 minutes improving your health and fitness.

Meal prepping or planning.
Going to bed earlier.
Stretching or breath work.

Any and all of these will help to improve your health and fitness. Some days you'll be able to do them all but a good goal is to not let a day go by where you do none of them...consistent, forward momentum.

Get in, have a go, and keep moving forward.
There's no need to try and be perfect because it's unnecessary and quite possibly doesn't even exist.
Instead, aim to do most things right most of the time.
This allows for some leeway for things called life...!
The interesting thing is too that you'll end up getting better results long term and be in a much better headspace when you're not trying to be perfect.
An 'all or none' approach always ends up on the 'none' side of the ledger.
Get things right (or near enough) most of the time and you'll be surprised at what you can achieve.

Setting a goal and thinking about the end result can be exciting.
When we think about reaching it (whether that is crossing the finish line of your first fun run, getting PB on a lift, losing that extra weight, etc), we fall in love with the result, with what we see ourselves achieving 🏅
But...How about the process that will help us get to that goal?
🙋🏼♂️ Do we fall in love with it as well?
🙋🏼♂️ Do we have the same level of excitement and anticipation?
Because the process is not nearly as sexy as the result, we don’t think of it as much as we think of the end goal.
❌ Often we actually dread the process.
❌ We think of it as a grind.
❌ It's thought of as “I have to” instead of “I get to”.
❌ The process is usually an afterthought compared to the goal setting.
It's time to start thinking differently about the process.
🔥Time to look forward to getting back on track with the daily routine.
🔥Time to look forward to sleeping, eating and hydrating better.
🔥Time to plan our training week better.
🔥Time to fall in love with the process!

What you focus on you create more of.
This is such a simple concept but it's worth repeating over and over.
It's so powerful but often disregarded because it is so simple.

Some days are going to be harder than others, that's just the way it is.
The same goes for you workouts, eating healthy, sleeping enough...actually the same rings true in all areas of life.
The key here though is to not give too much power to these tough moments...don't let the hard days win.
Every day is a new opportunity, there will always be something you an be grateful for and there will be plenty of good days too 🙂
