BIG V | FINALS WEEK 1 + ROUND 18 RECAP π
Youth Women: Our Youth Girls had a tough must-win game against Bellarine on Saturday Night. After a slow start from our Breakers, only scoring 11pts to Bellarine's 20 in the 1st quarter, our girls found their groove in the 2nd and 3rd, and brought the margin back. The 4th quarter was intense, with every possesion counting. There was 1 point in the game in the last minute of play, and Bellarine managed finish the game with the 5pt win. Our Youth Girls didn't stop fighting until the siren went, and we're so proud of how they played. In her final Youth League game, Molly Turner made a huge impact, with 19 pts, 12 reb, 4 ast and 3 stl. Congratulations girls on an amazing season, we can't wait to see you hit the court next year β
Youth Men: Our Youth Boys took on rivals Westernport on our home court on Saturday night, in a must-win match to advance through to the next round of finals. Our Breakers came out on fire, dropping 46pts in the first half compared to the Steelers 33pts. Our Youth Men managed to keep the intensity up for the remainder of the game, and got the win against the Steelers by 14 pts. Tyler Ferres was a star, with 14 pts, 5 reb, 3 stl and 2 ast, and consistently made an impact that led the Breakers YLM to the win! The boys head into another must-win match against Sunbury this weekend. π
Senior Men: In their final game of the regular season, our Senior Men headed down to Sth Pen to take on the Sharks. Sth Pen got off to a great start, with a 30pt 1st quarter, compared to our 16 pts. Our Men struggled to keep up with the Sharks, going down 82-104. Daryl Corletto put up a nice 28 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast and 5 stl. Unfortunately, that brings our Senior Men's season to a close. π₯
Best of luck to our Youth League Men who take on Sunbury this Saturday night 8pm at Boardman Stadium, go get that win guys! π€
