The Mindfulness of Cleaning. Reflecting on the week gone past, there was a lot of stress for me, and I got back in touch with a few of those cool things that help me feel calm. But the cleaning still has to be done so I decided to practice mindful Cleaning I know it sounds weird but it’s incredibly calming and it has the dual purpose of getting a few tasks completed. It’s not just mindfulness. It’s not just being present and calm, but it’s also achieving something at the same time.. food for thought.

So when the lovely sent me a message to say there would be a workshop on at the kiln, I was all in so many people I know are living busy and hectic lives and they have no hobbies, no fun, no downtime other than their work and chores. Having a hobby where you can get your hands dirty, help me to get out of my head, and in touch with my creative and quirky side..

My stressed or burnt out clients often ask me, 'what's the most effective treatment for stress?' or 'I'm finding it hard to stay motivated to meditate.'

It's hard to validate interventions without any stress metrics or clinically-validated tools.

And furthermore, adoption of new habits depends on the human brain having enough 'proof' that the new habit is effective and worth pursuing.

We all know that the subtle daily improvements are hard to see, and as a result can be easy to give up on adopting new habits.

As outlined in this article, there is real value in using biofeedback to stress management interventions - not just to prove their effectiveness, but also to provide 'stickability' to important new habits.
