After months of restoration, our Kees van der Westen Mirage coffee machine is in! Having spent many years in the Zin archives, our Mirage machine is now operational after undergoing a full rebuild, ready to take our Deluca Coffee to the next level. With this, we now bid farewell to our iconic duck-egg blue machine, who will be moving onto its next tenure.

The team were eager to get a feel for this beauty with some training provided by Deluca Coffee founder, Lucas – and look forward to pulling our first shots this Thursday.

Coffee is flowing and the ovens have been baking all morning – open today, 7 till 2.

It’s quickly turning into soup weather – and our sourdough is the perfect companion. Open right across the long weekend so you can get yours.

Did you ever wonder how to make a heart in your coffee?

Start by pouring steamed milk into your espresso from a height, allowing it to sink beneath the crema. As you pour, gently wiggle the milk jug back and forth to create a trail of foam. Then, finish by pulling the jug back to form the bottom of the heart and quickly pushing it forward to shape the top.

Practice is key to mastering this technique. And remember, if you sprinkle some cocoa, the heart will disappear!
