With rates on hold since last year (the last increase was November 2023) the question is what's the next move. The widely held forecast is down. While a month or two ago it appeared the first cut might come mid year, it's looking more likely to be late 2024 at this stage. With rates in a year's time forecast to be 0.5% lower than today.
Regardless, we recommend budgeting for rate increases when you do your numbers, as part of prudent planning to manage risk.
