Fortunate to have spent the weekend with my family in residence reconnecting and learning about upcoming trends for travel in 2024 and beyond.

That’s a wrap on one of the most relaxing holidays I’ve had in a long while. So many off the radar gems still to share, but first up I’m off to Singapore for my first major trade show post pandemic. ✈️🇸🇬

Say hello to your new favourite hotel in Bali 🌴☀️🇮🇩

Meet the , a boutique hotel in Sanur, Bali with 149 rooms, suites and villas designed like an authentic Balinese village. While there is so much to love about this property these were some of my highlights:

💫 Breakfast here is a real treat- an all you can eat a la carte buffet with a great mix of healthy, western and Indonesian choices.
💫 Well appointed rooms and suites. Our Deluxe pool view room was super spacious and had everything we needed.
💫 Incredible service at all touch points during our stay.
💫 Evening entertainment with live music in Village Square was a nice way to begin or end the evening.

This hotel is perfect for both couples and families and offers an on-site kids club for ages 4-12 years.

Sanur is much less hectic than it’s more well known neighbours, Seminyak and Canggu and was really easy to walk around. The beach promenade is popular for walking or riding bikes and there are a number of great beachside restaurants to try. Plenty of day spas with treatments available from $10-$50 depending on the length or popularity of the spa.

Blue city moments pt. 2 📸💙🇮🇳

India is a kaleidoscope of colour and energy. One of my biggest tips when photographing India is to consider a particular frame from different angles. Slow down & take your time. Zoom in, get close to your subject, and ask your guide to seek permission before you take a photo. Consider placing your subject off centre to the left or right to visually draw the eye. These tips will generally yield beautiful images.

These images were all shot on my Olympus PEN which has the power of an SLR with a compact camera body.

I’ve missed my besties a lot and their mini me’s. Loved catching up with and Berto in Cairns and spending time with Uncle Mick in Mallacoota.

2022- what a year 💫 A year of closing chapters, painful goodbyes, brand new beginnings and celebrating the joy of life.

This was the year that travel finally returned, I said goodbye to my 30s and hello to my 40s, found myself free falling from a plane twice in honour of my baby brother who left this earthly plane.

There was immense pain, like nothing I’d ever experienced and a numbness that at times seemed all consuming.

There were amazing opportunities to relaunch my business and focus on the sort of travel that aligns with my values. A renewed confidence to trust that what is meant for me will show up and to say no to what doesn’t feel right.

After the rain comes the rainbow 🌈 and I’m heading into 2023 full of enthusiasm and grateful for the people in my life who stood by me as I put the pieces back together.

I’ve learnt more about myself in the past 3 years than I ever have and I’m proud that I’ve come through some of the stormiest seas stronger than ever.

The most incredible few days in Sydney reconnecting with incredible friends and colleagues & closing the door on a tough couple of years professionally as the travel industry navigated our biggest challenge yet.

After the rain comes the rainbow 🌈 and to close last night celebrating all things Maldives 2.5 years later with I felt so proud. We are a resourceful and resilient bunch and have used this time to refocus and come out stronger.

If you aren’t using a travel advisor to book your upcoming travels you are missing out. Now is the golden age of the travel advisor and we have never been more passionate about changing the conversation to one of valuing our collective knowledge.
