A star moment for Madeline ⭐️ Last year, beautiful Madeline honoured me with a request to find her wedding dress. To say I was thrilled to be asked is a total understatement!!

I have been very fortunate to get to know Madeline over the years she has shopped with me. Her style is impeccable, she is beautiful inside and out, so I knew this dress had to be special!

Madeline really wanted to wear vintage. She had beautiful ideas of the mood she was after, then of course, it was up to the vintage gods to shine upon us!! And they did 💫

I found this stunning vintage guipure lace dress that had the proportions of a runway model. The dress was not only Madeline's style, it was also her size. I contacted her at once, and she came in to try it. It was the first dress she tried and the first dress I found.

The dress was made even more special by the fact that it was made by Newcastle designer Jenni Royale. Jenni was well known in Newcastle in the 80's and 90's for her evening and bridal wear. Madeline had the top of the dress remodelled into a strapless neckline to suit her vision perfectly. The result is simply stunning.

Of all the velvet, silk velvet is definitely my favourite. It is quite rare to find 100% silk velvet in modern garments. You may find a silk and rayon blend, like this incredible vintage Trelise Cooper jacket 😍 The lustre, softness and beautiful drape is what makes this fabric so special ❤️

I had this stunning jacket in stock before I went overseas. While I was in Greece, I saw a beautiful exhibition of national costumes. I fell in love with all the costumes but this one was a favourite. The jackets are similar in shape and detail, so when I look at this jacket now, I see it styled with a full skirt and belt bag! It would be equally as beautiful with pants or jeans 🖤
