Bespoke Ring for Taylar

Taylar contacted me some months ago to ask if I was able to set a stone that was gifted to her by her uncle .
He mined it himself in —— and had it cut by a lapidarist.
A stunning 10.50ct Smoky Quartz .
When clients supply their own stones I do have to check them for integrity .
The stone checked out and Taylar opted for a solid bezel in Rose Gold to compliment the stunning stone .
Band was made in sterling silver .
I handmade the band but carved the bezel from wax.

CONOR & BILLY
Billy came to me back in June wanting a special Engagement ring for Conor.
When we met I suggested different stones as he wanted something different but still classic. He knew he wanted a solid ring with a bezel set stone and so after finding some gorgeous fancy Sapphires and getting them in for him to view, he chose (my fave ) the 1.19ct round Fancy White Sapphire with Blue overtones . Such a stunning stone.

A few weeks later Conor also made an appointment to see me about Billy’s engagement ring. So I was shocked as she wasn’t aware Billy also chose me .
Conor wanted a classic gold rectangular signet set with a natural Baguette diamond and a White sapphire .

Remodel Grace

Grace came to me wanting to possibly resize her beloved grandad’s signet ring set with a Cab Ruby and diamond . Unfortunately as her finger size is small and the ring was quite a large size and hollowed out, I explained that sometimes resizes can affect the stones set into the ring when sizing down many sizes.
Then we started chatting about making a more solid band but with the same shape and dimensions of her pops ring.
I came up with the idea of casting directly from the original ring, in silver to make the model that would be an exact replica of the original, then sizing the silver ring down and getting Grace to try it for size and shape before I cast it with the original ring and some other rings.
She decided to go with just the simple lovely diamond from his ring not the Ruby and some engraving on the inside of her sweet Edward.

Remodel for Ataya.
Ataya had gold from her grandmother that she knew she wouldn’t wear and wanted to remodel into a stacker set and organic bangle.

Remodel Helen
This lovely client had some gold from her mum and older rings she wanted resized.
She had a beautiful trilogy Sapphire cushion cut ring that needed a thicker band and liked the idea of a stacker set.
So instead of making a brand new setting for the sapphires (as the existing setting was in good condition) I just re shanked the ring which meant I could solder the existing setting onto a more solid band in Helen’s size.
With the rest of her gold I make an east / west bezel setting for the garnet and a plain hammered matte stacker to go in the middle .

Remodel Michelle
This client came to me with a big stash of pieces she had collected over the years. She wanted a solid hammered Organic Bangle. Swipe for the process .
Recycling your gold is an excellent way to retain the sentiment of pieces whilst getting a new piece of gold without the price tag.

This client had some gold rings that were broken and wanted a solid gold high thinner style Dome ring.
Recycling your gold is an excellent way to get the piece you want without the price tag of solid gold.

Remodel for Maree.
Maree has been following me since I lived up north and finally reached out via messenger took the plunge to melt her old gold down to make into a new piece for her using her mums gold and stones.
After a phone consult I explained the process as she was sending her gold down with friends.

She was a little unsure of final design but the standout of the pieces was a stunning 2ct Blue oval sapphire and 0.85ct Radiant cut pink sapphire.

I suggested putting these against one another in a simple bezel setting that can be worn everyday .

Maree loved the idea and so I got started. With all clients my point of difference is that I keep you posted via text/ phone calls and images throughout the whole process . This is whether you live interstate or locally .
After I had made the shank and bezels I then blu tacked the bezels with stones to get Maree to choose her favourite placement of stones.

Remodel.
This client had pieces from her grandmother and her mums gold and ive crafted a wedder for her daughter.

A beautiful sentiment of passing on keepsakes to future generations . This not only is a beautiful way to pass on heirlooms but also saves you in the price of gold .

REMODEL - K & B .

This lovely client was gifted an old belcher chain from her mum to make her and her partners Wedders . This is an excellent way to get the rings you want without paying what gold is asking at the moment.

People often ask me how much a remodel costs and it’s hard to quote due to many varying factors such as how much gold, how many stones need to be removed and what the final design is.

But as an example - a remodel like this might set you back around $2000.00. This is to take your gold / remove stones if any ( in this case there was out 1 stone to be removed) and the end design were simple wedders.
End result - you are getting 2 solid gold rings made from your gold when for a set like this with me supplying the gold , you would be paying well over $7000.

** NOTE - a lot of jewellers will take your keepsakes and send it away (and charge you) for new gold .
This is something that they don’t tell you and the reason for this is because remodelled gold can sometimes be brittle and hard to rework due to the culmination of different golds.
I like to be super transparent hence why I post the process from start to finish. All done completely in house by my hands.

The NK Signature Pearl Ring - Grande

This unique design was born in 2013 where it made its debut at the markets right here in Newcastle.
Quickly sought after by many, it became one of Natalie’s best sellers.

Other local “designers” have tried to copy and claim this as their “Signature Pearl Ring”.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery they say…. And nothing compares to the original organic design, completely made in studio from start to finish by Natalie herself.

Using a technique of suspending the Pearl between solid metal so it moves around freely and touches the skin whilst wearing it.
Now featuring a 11mm Freshwater Pearl.

MELT is a new remodel service capturing the signature forms of Natalie’s organic style.

This remodel is a beautiful way to retain the sentiment of old your old broken or unwearable heirlooms .
All remodels are done completely in studio by Natalie.
Unlike other jewellers that send your gold away and charge you for brand new gold.

This remodel for those that have a small amount of gold which will be made into an organic molten rock pendant that can then be personalised with engraving, stamping (included) or setting of stones* (extra fee)

Ideally your gold will weigh upwards of 5 grams and have no stones in it. If you do have some stones in the pieces , we can quote to remove these.
We then take your gold - clean, refine and melt it into an ingot style shaped pendant .
This fee includes adding a bail (at top) so you can place it on an existing necklace you have.

A gold necklace may be purchased separately if required.

Option to stamp or engrave with maximum 3 letters if size permits .

Choose your gold colour at checkout , then Natalie will contact you to make an appointment to bring your gold in, or if you aren’t local will organise to get your pieces sent to her studio .

White gold is also available for this new remodel service, which has not been available previously for remodelling due to its nickel content and un-malleability.

This couple were eloping and had a short timeframe for which I could remodel their gold.
The brief was an organic style ring set with some of the diamonds in the existing rings for her, and a plain 5mm wide solid gold band for him.
All done in studio - by my hands. Retaining the sentimental value of the gold and stones .
Remodelling is an excellent way to get the pieces you want from the gold you have at a fraction of what gold prices are doing atm.

Seb came to me with a ring that he wanted to replicate for his wife that he bought some years ago. I sourced a stunning 1.34ct Oval Tanzanite and used the existing diamonds from the original white gold ring.
