Air Conditioning Tips from Nova Air & Electrical

Are you having issues with your air conditioner not operating or not cooling?

We recommend the following steps:

- Turn off your AC at the circuit breaker in your meter box for 20 minutes.
- After this period, switch it back on and turn your air conditioner on via wall controller or remote
- Observe.
- Additionally, ensure your air conditioner filter is clean. If not, gently hose it outside, let it dry, and reinstall.

These steps often resolve common cooling issues, and we hope they prove helpful.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

- Participate in electrical or refrigeration and air conditioning work and competency development activities
- Follow instructions given by Leading Hands and Management
- Maintain site safety & ensure clean/ tidy at the end of each day
- Adapting to a variety of tasks which could include
- Assist in installation of electrical works and/or air conditioning
- Loading and unloading of material
- Apply Work Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace

Essential Attributes:

- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Show initiative and enthusiasm
- Be willing to work safely and have an awareness of WHS at all times
- Have a desire to learn and the ability to pick up new skills quickly
- Ability to work under pressure
- Current drivers licence

The successful applicant will be required for an immediate start and must have a solid work ethic and be dedicated to becoming a Refrigeration Mechanic.

The wonderful Flaus Family have custom designed a surfboard in their son Brady’s honour that will be raffled to raise funds for Lifeline Hunter’s su***de prevention services.

The surfboard was made and donated by Jamie Carr from JCD Surfboards at Wickham and is coated and usable in the ocean.

This ‘Board of Hope’ was designed by Danny and Jacqueline Flaus to remember their son Brady. The East Maitland couple lost their 14-year-old son Brady to su***de in 2018.

The design has a special connection to the Flaus's, including family, indigenous culture and dolphins, that have a special connection to the Worimi people.
