We are very fortunate to have such experienced, caring and dedicated nurses in our team. They not only go above and beyond for our patients, they also provide cheek and laughter at moments it’s most needed.

During May each year, the Australian Thyroid Foundation raise awareness throughout Australia about thyroid-related diseases and thyroid cancer. It also helps provide information about the importance of thyroid health, how thyroid conditions can impact the way your body functions, and the treatment options available.

With Dr Felicity Adams specialising in treating thyroid conditions, this is close to her heart and this is one organisation she whole heartedly supports.

Exciting news! Dr Adams will now be consulting and operating at Buderim Private Hospital. This will allow more options for our patients, and decrease travel time for some. If you have any questions or would like to book at this location, please feel free to contact the rooms.

Another year, another beach house luncheon!

This year's luncheon was held at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club. It was another beautiful venue & day to share with all of our courageous breast cancer patients and their loved ones. As like previous years, we had GPS, radiologist, specialists and health care staff who support our patients during their treatment attend also.

We had a very special guest speaker, Kerry-Lee Gockel The Wingless Warrior join us, who shared her ways of overcoming challenges and gave inspiration, hope and laughter to us all. We cant thank her enough for her efforts and time!!

A big thank you to all that attended, supported and donated to this day. It wouldn't have been the same without you!

Last Friday, we held our annual Beach House Luncheon!
It was another special day that was designed to give back to the patients, and for them to have something nice to experience after the journey they have had and are currently going through.

This was the fourth year we have run this luncheon and none of this would be possible with out the following companies that contributed to make this day truly special for our patients.

Our Wonderful Nurses 👏

We are now blessed to have 2 beautiful nurses working with us in our practice, and what a wonderful job they do with caring for our patients.

Kathy- She has for the last 3 years worked alongside Dr Felicity Adams and her team to continue wound care and support.

Kathy has worked in nursing in Victoria, WA, NSW and Qld
Many of her years has been working in surgical wards, which is where she enjoyed nursing most of all. Her passion has always been wounds and wound healing.
She has worked at Noosa Hospital for 19 years, where for 8 of those years she worked for Dr Alan Smith – General Surgeon, and in that role she attended to all of his Post Op patients as well as attending to patients with chronic wounds referred to by General Practioners. At the same time she has been one of the wound nurses for Noosa Hospital.

Dr Adams would like to welcome an exciting new nurse to her team- Jean Kelly!

A lot of you will know Jean from her role with Noosa Hospital as a Breast cancer Nurse. She has joined our team to maintain the quality care we offer for all our patients, with a focus on hers skills and passion for our breast cancer patients.
Jean studied nursing at the University of New England, Lismore. Even though nursing was not her first preference as a career, once she started working at the Rockhampton Base Hospital, she enjoyed many aspects of the job. At Rockhampton, Jean was trained in orthopedic nursing and with this knowledge she was offered a position on the Sunshine coast.
Once working on the coast, she met local oncologist Dr Sybil Kellner and this is where Jean’s interest in oncology started. Cooroy Hospital (now Eden) was where the passion of oncology started, branching out to Sunshine Coast Hematology and Oncology Clinic, Caboolture, and Caloundra Hospital.
After taking on a position in the surgical department at the Noosa Hospital, Jean realized the lack of support for people diagnosed with Breast Cancer on the northern end of the coast. Jean had already studied Oncology nursing thru QUT and followed this up with Breast Care studies through NSW College of nursing.
Working with the team at Dr Felicity Adams allows Jean to focus on her role as a Breast Care Nurse and offer support and education to people who are treated through our rooms. Jean is enjoying her employment with Dr Adams and the efficiency it allows her to contact patients and assist them.
On a personal note, Jean loves lasagna, hates frogs and can’t skip!! And of course, she loves long walks on the beach and sunsets!!

They both look forward to meeting you and supporting you with your health matters.

Dr Felicity and Simon are proudly assisting in organising and supporting the inaugural Tour De Cure Charity Luncheon @ Sunshine Beach Surf Club on Saturday March 24th 2023.

This is the first event Tour de Cure has held in Noosa, however over its 16 year history, Tour de Cure has raised over $97M and been instrumental in funding 771 cancer research projects. The money raised at these events has led to an amazing 96 major breakthroughs in Cancer Research! You can read more about Tour de Cure here: https://www.tourdecure.com.au/

Tour de Cure raises money in many ways but the long distance bike ride which is held every year is definitely their most essential fund raising event. The 2023 Tour de Cure Signature Tour will be arriving in Noosa on Friday the 24th of March 2023, having cycled more than 1,000km from Coffs Harbour over the previous eight days.

To celebrate the conclusion of the event and raise essential funding for this worthy cause, a lunch will be held on Saturday the 25th of March 2023 at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club. The MC for the day is Channel 7’s Sunrise sports presenter, Mark Beretta and the special guest is Australian Formula 1 legend, Mark Webber! Our luncheon event will have an intimate feeling and we have attracted many great characters (both local and interstate) to the event, as to add to the feel good experience.

This year we held our third annual Beach House Luncheon!!
As you know we created this luncheon as a way to give back to our patients, also to show them they're not alone, and have a day in which we could reflect and celebrate their Breast Cancer journey.
It was another wonderful day spent with such incredible people!

Myself and my team would like to thank everyone that attended, including our amazing team of GPS, specialists, radiologists, and everyone else who support our patients with their treatment.
