The 3 things you must have on your wedding morning for a stress free morning- 1) Plenty of food- you might think you won’t feel like eating but actually this is the time to stay hydrated and full- it’s then a long time until you get to eat! 2) The tunes cranking- its a long morning but it’s always so much more fun when everyone is singing and dancing (and put a bridesmaid in charge of organising a great playlist). 3) Organisation- there’s always a big difference between my weddings when all of the little things are already done than when it’s done on the day. Don’t leave writing vows, sending lists of photos to the photographers, putting together flowers, creating playlists or sending directions until the morning of. Delegate anything that needs to be organised on the day and enjoy the experience of being pampered along with your closest. Why how you hold your curling bar matters…. Hair should always be curled in the direction away from the face from the ear onwards. For these waves I made the direction the same all the way at the back, which gives you that structured soft wave when brushed out- keeping the sections neat and the same size will create a beautiful wave pattern I’ve kept the base flat meaning the bar is held above the hair and then wrapped around- for a more voluminous curl I like to hold the bar under so the hair is wrap over the top of the bar first. What you must consider when selecting your hair style..... ❤️ Weather- this is a biggie! If it's set to rain or be windy I would strongly suggest you to consider an upstyle. Wind and rain are the key ingredients to your curls dropping within hours! We need that hairstyle to look amazing for 10 hours plus! ❤️ Hair Thickness and length- Inspiration pictures should have similar hair to yourself, not forgetting that a lot of inspiration photos are on models with clip in extensions (which I highly recommend) but that's a whole another post. ❤️ Face framing- have a think about how you want the front to look. Often the inspiration pictures only show the back. Face framing pieces will need to be cut in prior to your wedding day. ❤️ Your dress- If you have a pretty back of dress make sure the detail is not covered up with your dress. Think about the style of the dress, lace and boho vibes look fantastic with a more loose and romantic style, whereas a sleek dress with defined lines may suit a more sleek style! What if I can't do a trial? My lovely bride lived out of state, so her wedding day was the first day we met. There is a lot of communication that happens between booking me and your wedding date- and this includes a beauty guide, notes on how to select the right inspo and then your chance to upload your inspo prior so that anything that needs to be discussed can be communicated before the wedding day. On the wedding day itself we go over the inspo again and I will make any suggestions needed- I always allow a little bit of extra time on the day to have these important chats so that you love the finish look! I had the absolute pleasure of doing the makeup for these amazing young dancers @eva_jubb_ @tayla_sitarz at my very favourite dance studio @a.d.i_dance_studios It was the girls first shoot and they did absolutely amazing. These girls work so hard at what they do, their work ethic is just insane and they never give up until they have it! They go straight from school and dance for hours every night and then often compete all weekend. With commitment to their passion like this, they will go so far. I had the pleasure of getting this gorgeous bride and her two bridesmaids ready this week We went with a voluminous half up with a braid and a twist back and soft face framing pieces, accentuated eyes and a nude pink lip. The bridesmaids had soft low buns and natural soft glam makeup. I feel so blessed to meet such amazing ladies and share their special morning with them.
