👀 Watching the news and thinking about cyber security a bit more lately? 😬
In the 20-21 financial year, the Australian Cyber Security Centre received 67,500 cybercrime reports - that's one report every eight minutes 😲
⚠️ It's more important than ever for your business to take network and data security very seriously.
✅ Colocating your data in one of our regionally located data centres is one way to reinforce your network and data security.

Colocation | Leading Edge Data Centres We provide colocation solutions in regional Australia for a wide range of businesses like telcos, cloud providers, enterprises, & government.
As a business owner, the 📈 of your organisation is likely on your mind.
Will your servers and IT systems be able to keep up with your growth objectives?
Scalability is a major drawcard for many organisations choosing colocation services. The unique scalability offered by a data centre is key to future-proofing your business.
Speak with your managed service provider or IT team about colocation in your local Leading Edge Data Centre.
So why go and build data centres in regional Australia?
Did you know regional Australia is seeing the biggest migration from metro-based workers since records began?
Pushing and pulling communities in different directions over skills, jobs, housing, and technology access, the strain on regional IT infrastructure has tightened, and locals are now awakening to the many benefits of moving and colocating their businesses' IT infrastructure in their own local data centre.
🤓 Check out our latest blog to learn more about some of the benefits regional Australian businesses are starting to see by using our IT infrastructure: https://leadingedgedc.com/blog_post/data-centres-regional-australia/

Some of those benefits include:
💲 Sharing the cost of power, cooling, and floor space.
🔧 Reduced IT infrastructure maintenance costs.
📈 Escaping the limitations of ageing, on-premise servers and IT infrastructure.
✅ Higher uptime through network, power, and cooling system redundancy.
🛡️ Maximum security including CCTV monitoring, two factor facial recognition access management, and fire detection and suppression systems.

Last month some of the Leading Edge Data Centre's team attended the Hunter Innovation Festival, held at Newcastle City Hall.
The festival is the largest business event in the Hunter, connecting industry, innovators, and start-ups to grow the Hunter Region's economy.
It was great catching up with innovative, Hunter based businesses 4Tel Pty Ltd, SAPHI, and SwitchDin along with the Hunter's leading educational institution The University of Newcastle, Australia to understand how our data centre in Newcastle and our wider DC network in country Australia can support their future growth goals.
Throughout regional Australia, on-premise servers and critical data are sitting in the backrooms of businesses, clouded by risk.
As a physical asset, your server is vulnerable to the same risks as your building - fire, flood, and break-ins. The type and size of your building along with its connectivity options can also limit your ability to scale.
Choosing to colocate your server within your local data centre provides the physical structure, cooling, power, and security required to ensure the safety of your server while keeping it close by.
Learn more about colocating your server in one of our regionally located data centres on our website: https://leadingedgedc.com/colocation/
Congratulations to the Newcastle & Hunter Districts Veterans Cricket team who in September, competed at the NSW over 55’s NSW State championships held at Tuggerah on the Central Coast of NSW.
The three-day tournament had teams competing from all over NSW for the inaugural Warwick Hayes Cup which was won by Riverina West.
Hunter Veterans were competitive across the tournament, narrowly defeated by Illawarra Silver Bats on day 1, but then put on a 65 run last wicket partnership to beat Port Jackson Blue on day 2, and then ran out of steam on day 3 going down to Port Jackson Red.
LEDC’s Business Director for Northern NSW Mark Tranter who captained the Hunter Veterans team took the most wickets during the tournament returning bowling figures of 7/119 off 20 overs.
Hunter Veterans President Stephen Leathley thanked LEDC for their support. “It was great to have LEDC on board as our major sponsor for this tournament with the sponsorship going towards the team playing kit. I actually use the LEDC data centre in Newcastle to store files off-site for my business with no issues at all so we were more than happy to have LEDC on board with us for this tournament.”
Last Thursday we enjoyed a meetup with our New England area partners and community, exploring the New England Data Centre in Tamworth with guided tours, followed by dinner and drinks at The Family Hotel.
Thanks to our partners Toim Technology, Arcomm I T & Networking, Bespoke Technology, Regional It Australia, and our business community for coming along!
