Day 1 in Uganda 🌍

Brod’s group embarked on our journey in three 4-wheel-drive vehicles, heading north of Kampala towards the Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch.

A short walk led us to several majestic white rhinos, allowing us to observe them up close and personal. 🦏

Steve’s group have arrived at the seaside resort town of Batumi in Georgia.

Steve’s group is continuing their journey through the Caucasus mountains in Georgia enjoying the unforgettable scenery in Mestia and Ushguli.

Day 12 and Steve’s Caucasus group has reached Mestia with a stunning walk to the glacier.

Our last few days in Iceland on Blue Dot's Arctic adventure before heading to Svalbard. What an amazing journey this has been. The best the country has on offer.

DAY 8 . Steve’s Caucasus group have reached Kazbegi: amazing photos from Gergeti Trinity Church, Dariali Gorge, Gveleti waterfall, and Dariali Monastery. Then on to Gori & Stalin Museum, and Uplistsikhe ancient rock hewn town.

Our Iceland group striking a pose at the top of a small caldera. It's unusually cold as a low-pressure system from Greenland arrives. Next stop... the remote and rugged west fjords.

Brett's group in Iceland travelled the "Golden Circle" today. Geysers, waterfalls, and national parks. The gorge image is where the Eurasian and American continental plates meet.

Brett’s Arctic group has arrived in Reykjavik and enjoyed exploring Iceland’s small but cosmopolitan capital today. Weather is cold and windy with a massive cold front hitting the island from Greenland. That didn’t stop some locals swimming at their local beach while we rugged up! 😮

DAY 4 and 5 for our second Caucasus group with visits to the Juma Mosque and Lahic village, Albanian Church in village Kis, Sheki and the Khans summer palace. Wonderful sights, people and views at every turn.

Blue Dot’s small group was welcomed to Iceland with a fabulous view of the “on again off again” volcano. Think we’ll stay clear just in case. 😜

Our second group have arrived in the Caucasus. Day 1 and 2 were spent exploring fascinating Baku with its quirky modern buildings and fortified old city. We saw the petroglyphs at Gobustan, the mud volcanoes, the Zoroastrian Museum of Fire, then Baku Heydar Aliyev Museum and had dinner at a local restaurant. A couple of big days!

Our group in the Caucasus have spent a few days enjoying the seaside resort of Batumi. Perched between the mountains and the Black Sea, this port city is quite charming, with a wonderful mix of old and new. There was a visit to the Botanical gardens, walk on the waterfront promenade, and a visit to the monument to Jason and the Argonauts then the spectacular giant outdoor sculpture celebrating the lovers Ali and Nino. Next stop, Borjomi, on the edge of a beautiful national park forest in which natural warm spring water is collected, bottled and sold all over Europe. Some of the group swam there too. In Vardzia, a day spent exploring the tunnels of a multilayered cave complex chiseled out in 12th century provided great exercise and photography opportunities!

Gordon’s group in the Caucasus continue to be awed by Georgia's spectacular scenery. Photos from Kazbegi, where they experienced the full weather spectrum from snowing to sunshine in one day. The group enjoyed the dumpling making class and walk to a local waterfall.

Gordon’s group in the Caucasus… Into Georgia to a valley of vineyards and wine tasting with protection by the awesome Caucus mountains. Into Tbilisi built on a segment of the Aras river, full of character and personality. A day tour to the massive Cathedral, up the gondola to enjoy the view, exploring the museum with a magnificent collection of valuables crafted in 3-2 millennium BC.

Gordon and his group travelling throughout The Caucasus region have left Azerbaijan and are now in stunning Georgia.

All good times must come to an end. Karen’s group of Blue Dotters said goodbye to South Korea and Taiwan today. Four weeks of wonderful cultural experiences. We’ll be back!

Final days for Karen’s group in Taiwan. The magnificent Gangtien Gong (temple) and sunset over the Pacific Ocean in Hualien the epicentre of the earthquake 2 weeks ago and we were still having aftershocks around 6 on the Richter scale. You can see the building in central area tipped over! 😮
