The “Where’s Janet” VOS Group trivia team put in a sterling effort at the Terrace Bar Triva in North Sydney last evening with a podium finish. Team captain JT noted it was a “victory for free thinkers”. A great night was had by all.

Happy St Patricks day. It is not so well known that the man himself, St Patrick is also the patron saint of Engineers. Now that deserves a Guinness.

Congratulations to Rob L on winning the office T20 World Cup tipping contest. Your prize and the converted Rick Gaiser trophy are on your desk for collection on your next day in the office. Congratulations.

What a fantastic on-line event the CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards were. Great to see over 80 people logged in for the presentations.

The Mark Griffin Student of the Year. Mark was a long time employee eventually become the Director of Engineering at VOS Group.

CIBSE - Sponsorship An event like this is only made possible when the industry comes together to support it. In times of difficulty it is more important than ever to support and recognise the exceptional talent and thinking that will solve our industries biggest threats and challenges.

The notification today of a Sydney wide lockdown means we will all be working from home until further notice. This means our recently installed office entry signage will go unseen until the 12th of July at least. Upon our return to the office keep an eye out for our new entry and corporate imagery. Looks schmick!

On the eve of a potential shutdown in Sydney it was great to be able to get some of the office together, (earlier this week) to welcome our new engineer Behshad to VOS Group with greet and an informal office breakfast.

As part of Reconciliation week it was terrific to have our management team discussing how we can be more aware of first nation peoples issues, and concerns particularly on culturally sensitive projects. Listening and understanding at an early stage can only enhance the outcome for all. Its a learning curve for all but at least it is being discussed with an open mind.

Celebrating World Day for Cultural Diversity.
During VOS Group’s 30 year anniversary celebration (just prior to COVID) one of the many topics discussed was the incredible diversity of nationalities that have worked at VOS Group. We decided to reflect back and we came up with 57 different nationalities. This is possibly one of the reasons for our remarkable and harmonious company culture. For a medium sized consultancy 57 is a lot of balanced, creative and diverse ideas coming together in the one space. Well done to all on making VOS Group what it is today.
