An exciting day today with our visit to Bran Castle or better known as Draculas castle.

Today we disembarked our river cruise in Giurgiu and drove via Bucharest to Brasov. Photo stop in Bucharest at the Palace of Parliament. On arrival in Brasov we did a short orientation walk to show us the old town. Looks like some interesting shops to explore tomorrow in our free time 🛍️ 💳

Our stop today was at Vukovar, largest river port in Croatia. We learnt so much about the battle of Vukovar in 1991.

Our afternoon tour to Pécs, the fifth largest city & an ancient city in southern Hungary close to the Croatian border

Welcome to Mohács, the first stop on our river cruise, located in southern Hungary. Here we had a wander around town in the morning to see some of the sights.

What an exciting few hours on our only game drive in Ranthambore National Park …. To see a tiger in the wild is one thing but then to see a leopard as well is even more rare …. Not to mention the beautiful bird life and the stunning flame trees … it was an exciting few hours

We all recognize the famous Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful buildings ever created . Completed in 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife who passed away giving birth to her 13th child. Legend has it that she bound him to a deathbed promise to build her the most beautiful tomb ever known. He certainly succeeded….. it represents the greatest ever monument to love ❤️ we were so fortunate to be there at sunrise and witness it sparkle in the morning sun before the crowds …. A magical morning.

After a cancelled flight and a 10 hour layover Lesley finally made it to Budapest for her Balkans cruise. Starting in Budapest through to Bucharest. Just a couple of pics of our travelmarvel cruise ship Vega & my cabin. For anyone joining us next year on our river cruise from Paris to Prague, this is our ship. More photos to come.

Sophie and I are currently in India researching for our ladies trip for next year … day one in Delhi and all I can say is wow !! I knew coming here was going to be a sensory overload but I don’t think you can prepare for it …. The morning spent in New Delhi was a surprise … no crowds, very green and all very organized. In the afternoon we headed over to Old Delhi and that’s when the India we were expecting hit us … we jumped on some rickshaws for a crazy trip through the bussling streets….. walking through the spice markets was an experience just in itself …. The chili and spices in the air was choking…. Our eyes watered …. We had never laughed so much as we all coughed and spluttered through the narrow alley ways …. Relief came once we turned up to our beautiful historic restaurant where we were treated to amazing food , traditional dancers and a rooftop view that took our breath away …… and it’s only day one !
