Charmaine was born and bred in Geelong. After almost 30 years spent living in Melbourne (twice), split by a stint living in London and travelling Europe, Charmaine has recently realised the long-held vision of a move to the Bellarine Peninsula, putting down roots in Ocean Grove with her partner Adam and their 3 ½ year old son, Dusty and re-establishing Vitalic Myotherapy in OG.
Having spent many years in high paced, corporate jobs (Westpac, Transurban, Selfridges, Westfield, Unilever), it was following Charmaine’s overseas travels through South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia over the course of 6 years, that a shift in personal and career goals took place.
The realisation came while backpacking through India and spending time at yoga Ashram’s in Northern India.
Back in Australia, Charmaine commenced studying the Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2012 and followed with the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy (Charmaine is also currently completing a Degree in Exercise Science). After gaining experience working in several different multi-modality clinics and working closely with a number of mentors who are exemplary in the industry, Charmaine made the move to open her own clinic, Vitalic Health (now known as Vitalic Myotherapy) in 2014.
Charmaine’s style incorporates a strong knowledge of the human anatomy and mechanics complimented by a sporting background, through previous experience as Myotherapist to the Victorian Institute of Sport Gymnastics (Working with Children check) and the North Brunswick Football Club, qualified Personal Trainer as well as her own personal pursuits such as long distance running, the practice of Yoga, CrossFit training, trekking and scuba diving.
Vitalic Myotherapy is the culmination of Charmaine’s passion for sports and the human body coupled with her desire to assist others with management of musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain management.

Nice yoga this morning with Dusty 😂
Just have to get time for myself when l can and get clarity for myself.
It’s tough times at the moment so try to do something good for someone today and exercise for yourself.
Either call someone or bake for a Neigbour or pay forward a coffee at your local coffee shop
The Victorian government is telling us that the decision to shut out myotherapists is to minimise movement in the community. So let's look at this in real life -
👉🏻 Patient in debilitating pain;
👉🏻 Unable to access trusted myotherapist who 'knows' their pain story, what treatment helps and what doesn't;
👉🏻 Patient now 'moves' about community to access alternate care options;
👉🏻 Alternate care provided may not ‘work’ to ease the pain;
👉🏻 Same patient is now forced to seek additional care – perhaps from the same provider or may choose to access other care options;
👉🏻 Patient may even seek pharmaceutical relief – or visit their GP for prescription of pain medications; OR
👉🏻 Patient may avoid further treatment due to their vulnerability and fear of flaring their pain and possibly wake one day, unable to move due to their debilitating pain and end up in our hospitals.
Removing access to their trusted myotherapists for patients in pain may in fact create unintended consequences.
What could have been 1 interaction with their trusted myotherapist may now be multiple movements across the community.
Does this serve the governments theory to reduce community movement – we think not!
Let myotherapy be a part of the solution

You become what you do MOST, not with the most enthusiasm.
TRUTH: Our body wants to make things easy on itself. The systems of body work together to maintain a sense of balance called homeostasis.
Homeostasis is defined as a sense of equilibrium that our body wants to maintain. It is the reason we sweat when we are hot and shiver when we are cold.
A D A P T A T I O N
This is what occurs when our body is forced to find a NEW HOMEOSTASIS. Our body can be forced to change when we repeatedly give it a stressor that it struggles with.
This is the reason we gain muscle when we lift weights.
This is also the reason we can say that POSTURE MATTERS.
When we get "stuck" in the same postures/positions often, it is almost as if our body say's
"THIS IS MY NEW NORM."
Muscles change lengths.
Joints change positions.
Posture is altered.
I can HELP you if you need to change yours.
