Just transformed these very old 1954 bedsides to a very classic look. No frills or adornments were wanted by the client. Just plain and simple. They came out great considering the failing finish and age of these two.
Sometimes plain and simple is all we need.

OK, so this piece is finally finished.
It's taken a bit but then why rush!

Jane from Plain Jane Chalk Paint asked me sometime ago to say what i thought of her paint. Sorry Jane it took so long.🙂

I used Pepperberry and Jellybeans on this piece. A blend of the two together as well, as per Jane's recommendation to a colour match I wanted.
It might not be everybody's cup of tea, but I love it.
This paint is a dream to work with! So creamy.. Blending and using a texture paste with it was a breeze. I used the fatty brush making it super easy.

I used gold leaf, texture paste cream, clear wax, Antiquing wax, transfers, and stencils.

I think I will call it my Liquorice Allsorts piece😁

Something a little different.
From a vintage writing desk to a small coffee cabinet. I pulled this all apart and prepped and painted.
Decoupaged the door, added a transfer and stencilled.
I think it's rather cute. Would be great in a guest bedroom or b&b.

Hi I think there is something wrong with my business page.

I don't post alot but when I do I'm lucky if I get a couple of views.
I don't have a lot of followers only about 190 but I do follow alot of you that are in the furniture and painting game.

Does anyone have issues like this.
It's really draining my confidence. I'm wondering what is the point.

Way too hot to finish my furniture project.

Decided to paint over the old gold frame finish.
Black chalk paint and some European gold wax on the inside of the frame. Will give the frame some clear wax tomorrow
Love the look, makes it look a little more luxurious.

So if you watched my little Cherub make over, here is how it was done.
Cleaned
1 coat of Frenchic Loof lazy range let dry well
1 coat of Artisan Rust part 1.
When touch dry
1 coat of Artisan Rust Activator I made mine drippy and added quite a bit. If it started to dry I spritzed a little water
Painted Wing's with Unique Options verdigris. Spritzed to get a thinner drippy look. Then immediately applied a bit more Rust Activator to wings.
Let dry in the sun.
No topcoat yet. Still deciding.

Very easy process. So get to it and show your pieces.

A large timber picture board,(Upcycled of course) Mint by Michelle decoupage A3 paper and lots of vibrant paint from Plain Jane paints.
And voila I have my own masterpiece
Loving the bright and cheery colours of this one.

What to do with one of those timber picture boards that is black and covered with coffee names.
1. Clean it
2. 2 coats of primer
3. MINT by michelle decoupage paper A3
4. Lots of blended paint and a bit of bling with gold leaf.
5. I sprayed sealer on this, just in case it reactivated the paint

And Voila!
Not my best decoupage work but not fussed. Just love the vibrancy of the paper and paints.
I mainly used Plain Jane paints so easy to blend and the colour AMAZING

Don't know what this super little tool is called but I got it from Temu. Sure you could get it elsewhere. It's great for cutting really small bits of wood. Zoom into the second pic. Super small trimmings. And you can cut angles too. Used this to cut some thin mdf pieces to plug a hole before I filled it. Worked a treat. Sorry, I did tidy up with sanding and paint.

This is my beautiful Drexel piece. Not quite completed yet. Full reveal Wednesday!❤️

Only thing I can't decide on the k***s???
Please let me know your thoughts or even choose from some of my ideas.

1. Use gold leaf

2. Leave as is. They are the original Drexel k***s.

3. Bronze wax them

4. Paint and add gold highlights.

5. Change totally, although I love reusing when they are the originals.

Please please let me know your thoughts. I need to finish this. Some special pieces coming up.
