Orchard Toys started over 50 years ago in the UK. They create educational games and puzzles and we love having them as part of our library’s collection

Their goal is to make learning fun.

Kids develop all kinds of essential skills through play, and toy libraries provide a wide range of resources to support this growth. By engaging with toys and games, kids can build physical strength, coordination, and teamwork skills.

Sports equipment like cricket sets and basketball hoops help children practice their motor skills and agility.

Interactive play, such as board games and pretend play, inspires strategic thinking, problem-solving, and social interactions.

These early learning opportunities set kids up to tackle whatever life throws their way! 🏀

Uno has always been a classic but our Uno Moo! game has been a popular choice during borrowing sessions

Thanks for your support and Cardinia Shire Council’s support. We were happy to show you the outcomes of our Community Wellbeing ‘Seeding’ grant which has enabled us to start our Click n’ Collect service.

Introducing a fabulous new addition to our toy library - Leap Frog Pizza Cart 🍕🍕

The kids can set up their own shop, mix and match toppings plus ring the bell when the order is ready

Who will be borrowing this one?

A very busy day at the Toy library we had a record borrowing and loan day. Check ins and outs numbering what we normally do in a month. 😮
Four new families joined up. Welcome!
Our working bee 🐝 was a success with new technology set up and all brand new toys now out on the floor for loan. Thanks to the members that helped during the session and during the bee.
Members don’t forget to sign up for your duty roster as there is aways something to do. Many hands 🙌 make light work. Plenty of times available this Term.

Click and Collect

We are so excited to be introducing a click and collect service this term!

The first click and collect session will be Thursday 1st August, between 7 and 8pm
During this time the Toy Library will ONLY be open for returns and click and collect pickup. We will not be open for regularly borrowing

Click and collect is only available for the specific click and collect sessions (Thursday nights as per the calendar), no click and collect is available at normal sessions.

For click and collect you need to select your toys online and then pick a click and collect time. At your appointed time come up the doors at the library and return any toys you have, and collect your new toys! Easy!

Click and Collect will be facilitated using our holds system. Holds CANNOT be placed for normal borrowing sessions. Holds should only be placed the week of a click and collect event. This means that for Thursday 1st August’s click and collect session you can pick toys and book a pick-up time from Monday 29th July.

When booking for click and collect, please ensure you also place a reservation

At this stage, click and collect sessions are a trial, so please give us any feedback so we can work out the best process!

We're holding a working bee this Saturday after our borrowing session 🐝🐝

We’ll be organsining the shelves, checking missing pieces, batteries working and so on

We’d love you to come and help and it can also be included in your annual duty sessions.
Simply log into your account and sign up via the duty roster for your preferred time between 1-5pm

We do really appreciate the time our volunteers and members contribute. Thank you
