Meet CLEO! Cleo is the last update of our past 9 Sundae & Daphne litter pups. She is gorgeous, tiny, courageous, smart & loving. We have been lucky enough to be in the position to place Cleo into a guardian home with the very best AYLA family where she will stay apart of our breeding program & family 🫶🏻
Cleo’s parents are extremely exceptional minis with great conformation, small legs, huge low set ears & the most beautiful temperaments to match. It was a huge hope for me they would produce beautiful offspring that were all the amazing qualities of them both, colour didn’t matter to me and they don’t carry everything but conformation & temperament were my priority. We watched her grow & she developed more and more like her parents so it was meant to be.
I couldn’t be more grateful to her furever human mumma for all her support.
Cleo is our second keeper pup for our breeding program & the first with full lineage so this is super exciting for us. We cannot wait for her future & to keep watching her flourish with her snag sisters in her forever home 🩷

Welcome to Silky Sundays! This weeks feature is our gorgeous silky stud Luke. When introducing our long hair & silky wire hair girls to our program it was a no brainer to add the perfect all rounder stud with genetics & furnishings to match, so that he along with our girls could create gorgeous silky coated puppies in the future. Coat type of both parents is very important to us when it comes to creating the perfect silky especially when wanting to create the teddy bear effect.

Silky wire dachshunds are purebred dachshunds originally bred from a long hair parent and a wired haired parent. To be a true silky wire pup, the dna reads that they have 2 copies of the long hair gene WITH the furnishings gene, furnishings being the longer eyebrows and moustache features. Why you may ask? Silky wires can provide a lot of different qualities like their laid back personalities and being low shedding for those with allergies but not compromising on being soft and silky like a teddy bear.
The goal is their coats are to be soft and silky and not wire-y like their wire haired ancestors.
We are lucky enough here at AYLA Mini Dachshunds to be breeding with 3rd & 4th generation silky wires so their coats are luscious and silky 😉 we can’t wait for everyone to meet them and hopefully fall in love with them like we have.

Meet Cranky aka Miley formerly known as Pavlova from our Aus Day litter! Cranky got her nickname from dog dad purely for how her pretty dapple markings fall over her face making her look… well, cranky! She was always the one looking up at us and watching us too but really is a total sweetheart and nothing like dog dads nickname for her! We miss this little nugget but are extremely in love with her forever family & the life they give her, we’re so happy for them all 💝
