In my view the best thing we can do is to build each child’s sense of self, so they can navigate their world safely and confidently. By pointing out potential pitfalls and giving your child the opportunity to think about possible solutions before there is a crisis they will gain the confidence that they can make safe choices.

Why Your Child Can’t Access Coping Skills When They Need Them Most There are good reasons that children have trouble accessing their coping skills with learned strategies in the heat of the moment.

We are looking for a graduate/ junior OT to join our Early Intervention Centre. The successful applicant will receive 1:1 supervision in working with children with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions and their families. We offer services both in the well-equipped clinic and in the community. The director, Kerry Wallace has advanced training and lecturing experience in Sensory Integration and DIR: Floortime.
