About this role:
- Fresh food preparation: sandwiches, wraps, rolls etc.
- Hot food preparation: pies, sausage rolls, breakfast burgers, deep-fried foods etc.
- Preparing foods to high standards in an efficient manner.
- Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing rubbish, and confirming that tools are in working order.
- Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by IGA and Food Standards AUS/NZ.
- Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Confirming that all displays, products, and services are completed to a high standard.
- Managing all day-to-day operations of the store.
- Ensure direct supplier order quantities are determined and orders are placed as required.
- Ensure adequate stock levels are always available within the shop in all departments.
- Ensure that stock and fixture price marking, and ticketing is of the highest standard.
Role Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in food preparation and food handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong awareness of health and safety policies.
- Supermarket experience is preferred but not essential.
- Availability to work early mornings.
- Ability to work well within a team.
