WA has secured its soft landing through the Omicron wave, making way for Level 1 public health measures to safely ease across the State from 12:01am Friday, 29 April.

The public health and social measures to ease include:

🔵 2sqm rule and capacity limits for venues and businesses removed
🔵 G2G Pass no longer required
🔵 Vaccination requirement for interstate arrivals into WA to be removed
🔵 Masks no longer mandatory indoors – except for those aged 12 years and older (including Year 7s) in high risk settings including hospitals, residential aged and disability care, correctional facilities, public transport, rideshare, taxi services, other passenger transport, in airports and on aircraft. Mask wearing is encouraged where physical distancing isn’t possible
🔵 Proof of vaccination removed from venues and businesses, but remains in place for residential aged care and hospitals
🔵 Mandatory workplace vaccination policy remains in place
🔵 Close contacts with no symptoms will not be required to isolate, but must wear a mask outside of the home, avoid high-risk settings, take a daily RAT test, work from home where possible, avoid non-essential gatherings and contact with at-risk people, and should inform their employer of their close contact status. Close contacts with symptoms must continue to test and isolate as per existing requirements
🔵 Residential aged care and disability care residents can have two visitors per day. Hospital patients can have essential visitors and two additional visitors per day. Proof of vaccination applies for visitors.

Effective 06:00am Monday 21 February public health and social measures will be stepped up to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Level 1 measures will apply for Perth, Peel, South West, Wheatbelt, Great Southern and the Pilbara regions.

These include:
🔵 Indoor home gatherings limited to a total of 30 people (including household members);
🔵 Private outdoor gatherings limited to a total of 200 people with the two square metre rule applied if the outdoor gathering is at a private residence;
🔵 Two square metre rule for hospitality, fitness venues, entertainment and cultural venues, places of worship, hairdressers and beauty services
🔵 75 per cent capacity for seated entertainment venues (forward facing), such as theatres and cinemas;
🔵 75 per cent capacity for stadiums
🔵 Two square metre rule for Perth Crown Complex and seated service only on the casino gaming floor
🔵 500-person capacity limit at nightclubs, in addition to the two square metre rule;
🔵 Visitation at residential aged care and disability care facilities and hospitals limited to four visitors per patient/resident per day, exemptions for compassionate reasons;
🔵 COVID Event Checklists required for events with more than 500 patrons and less than 1,000 patrons and COVID Event Plans required for large events with 1,000 patrons and above;
🔵 COVID Safety Plans to be expanded to early childhood education and childcare services, hairdressers and barbers, and encouraged for all workplaces; and
🔵 Workplaces should implement COVID-19 safe settings to manage workforce impacts.

Masks continue to be required:
🔵 in all public indoor settings, including in the workplace
🔵 in all vehicles unless the person is travelling alone or with members of the same household
🔵 in hospitals, disability and residential aged care facilities

Up to date proof of vaccination or medical exemption with ID remains a requirement at certain venues and events state-wide.

‼️Proof of Vaccination still applies‼️

As of today, please be advised that proof of COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption along with identification is now required at Mandarin Chinese Restaurant for dining in for any aged 16 or older.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate all the patience and support

Proof of vaccination requirements will expand from Monday, January 31, to apply to venues and events state-wide for those aged 16 years and older.

Acceptable proof of vaccination includes:
✅ the ServiceWA app, the WA Government's free, convenient and secure mobile application to show proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations
✅ your COVID-19 digital certificate from myGov or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app
✅ your certificate stored in a smartphone wallet
✅ a hardcopy of your certificate
✅ a digital or hardcopy of your immunisation history statement.

Vaccination certificates that are accepted by the Australian Government for travel into Australia will also be accepted at businesses and venues in WA.

An additional form of supporting identification is needed if the proof of vaccination is not stored in:
🔵 The ServiceWA app
🔵 Express Plus Medicare app

If you are unable to receive a COVID-19 vaccine for a medical reason, a doctor will update your record on the Australian Immunisation Register to show that you have a medical exemption.

You can then show proof of your medical exemption when entering a business or venue.
