Yesterday on my stories I did a little survey on how you guys feel about meal prepping and you said:

Australian Club Championships 2024 🥇

Driving back from the fights one night I was captain of the ship and had everyone else in the back of the van. I was looking at one of the young joeys in the rear view mirror and thought, “ahh I remember when I was the youngest of the group” which then followed to “holy s**t, I’m the oldest one of the group now” 😂.

Slightly insulted by this realisation, but very blessed to be in the mix and bring a different energy to the team 🙌🏼

Following on from my previous post, and a further explanation of the positive lens’ I see life through now. A big influence is…

These three (yes Desmond is always included) have taught me so much about myself and showed me that it doesn’t matter what’s going on in the world, as long as our unit is solid, everything is sweet ❤️

I have envisioned my adult life many times over the years and honestly, I never had the hopes of having a family of my own.

It’s a really settling and comforting feeling to have a strong home base and the opportunity to love these three everyday.

I’m not a religious man, but way too often lately I’ve felt like I’ve had someone looking over me.

I encourage myself daily to reflect and say thanks for whoever they are up there, and I’m forever making a conscious effort to appreciate how good life gets to be.

I also remind myself that, I’ve been broke, unhealthy, lost and all the above at the same time. And I’ve worked my ass off to get to where I am today.

So, as a team, me working hard and the big wigs upstairs…life is a buzz and a blessing, and I’m feeling very grateful to be able to continue chasing dreams and making top memories.

Feeling very greaftul for the experiences life has thrown my way this past few weeks.

To do it along side this absolute bunch of legends has truly put the cherry on top.

Big couple weeks of training ahead here in Colorado in preparation for the World Boxing Cup Competition kicking off on the 16-20th April!

MOMENTS… there’s just something about this photo that I love.

Only after that comes the win. I was up against a top bloke and great fighter who I’d shared the ring with a few times before and as always, we both knew what the task was at hand… we ripped in.

My mate RUSTY

🫱🏼‍🫲🏽I met Rusty in what some would call a cross roads of his physical and mental health.

🧱Being a bricky is hard enough, let alone trying to FINDTHETIME to prioritise healthy habits.
This came with lack of sleep, nutrition and training.

📖 We came up with a plan together and dialled in on getting back to feeling stronger and healthier.

Over the past 6 weeks we:

- Scheduled in workouts that were comfortable with his time frame
- Prioritising arvo and night routines to gain better sleeping patterns
- Gained better eating habits to optimise his performance at the gym and work

Each of these changes played a significant role in managing the stress’ of life and work PLUS losing 4Kgs and trimming 10cms off his stomach

“I CAN’T ”

Maybe you can’t, but we can.

It’s not about creating more time, it’s about your order of priorities.

Whether it’s a hair appt or a meeting at work, you put it in your calendar and show up on time.

Why is it, that there is no scheduled time for your workouts?

Because, you’re not mentally considering it as a priority.

Preparation is key, look at your week ahead and MAKE an appt with yourself to MOVE 🏋️‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Every one of the people currently on the Jaggar Altoft Training App started with the same struggle but with a plan, accountability and support, have now solidified consistent results with ease!

CHLOE CHAOS

When Chloe agreed to have me film our 1:1 strength and conditioning session I wanted to capture the following;

- Have fun! Chlo is in her final week of camp before she fights for her next title and she’s on the grind everyday, I was able to put her through a session where she didn’t have to think and we had a great laugh

- There WILL be a form of exercise you enjoy, if you haven’t found it, don’t give up!
It doesn’t matter if you’re an athlete, never trained before, or you’re ripping off the bandaid and ready to get back at it, find movement you ENJOY and I promise the motivation will come.

REMINDER… Text your mates

Life is fast, life is busy and sure as f**k time gets away a little too often.

You may begin to ponder about the last time you spoke to some of your comrades.

Three responses I hear most when I ask people why they haven’t spoken to a certain someone lately…

1 “Just lost touch, wouldn’t even know what to talk about anymore”

I get this one completely, although there is nothing better to start a well needed conversation with a reminiscing session. Ringing old friends and bringing up some wicked memories is good for the soul.

2 “They never text me, so why should I text them”

Who gives a f**k? If the person is funny, was always good to you and usually always has something good to talk about. You’re going to get something out of the chat and no one wins from playing the blame game.

3 “Life is busy, I’ll chat to them when I get time”

We have literally never been so connected, get off this post and text them…now!

All I’m trying to say is, the world we live in today, it’s easy to get lost in the hustle of life.
With all the bad s**t that is advertised through TV or social media. We all should be doing the part for our people and making sure everyone is okay. Especially if that person at one point in your life played a significant role. You never know who might just need to know someone is thinking of them!

Are you feeling the pressure of this time of year?

You’re wrapping up work with deadlines to meet, finding the funds for Christmas presents, pulling it together for parties and having your social button absolutely smashed!

This is when making the time for you really matters.

Blocking out time in your day for physical activity or anything else that gives you a sense of achievement outside of work is an absolute priority to make sure you don’t fall off the bandwagon.

Why is this important?

Because if you’re not showing up for yourself, it’s going to be harder to show up for those that are standing in front of you at said events! This can be a joyful of year- don’t make it a stressful one!
