1. Contact your bank and let them know.
- Put additional security questions in place and make the questions obscure, only something you can know.
- Request your bank to remove the ability to change your password for your online banking

2. Contact one of the credit report providers and put a ban on your report
- Your credit report is designed to give your credit providers information they need to consider when assessing your application for credit. If an organisation requests copy of your Credit Report, they will be informed there is a ban in place. This ensures they are aware and alerted to the potential fraud risk on your account. The credit report provider will reach out to the other 2 providers and advise them.

3. Lastly, change your password for your email accounts.
- Ensure the new password is at least 16 characters long. I know this seems excessive, but it is your best protection.

If you are a director of a company, trustee company or SMSF trustee company, you need your Director ID prior to the 30 November 2022.

There could be heavy penalties applied if you do not have your Director ID by the end of November.
