Mountain Mantras

Doing the normal morning ritual with the chef….Sang burning time and listening to Buddhist mantra chants.
It soothes us and gives us the energy to start our (gruelling) day…which sometimes crosses 12-14 hours.

Trust me, it is not an easy thing to prepare things that people love to eat. It takes patience, time, those small personal touches, dedication and lots of passion 😀 besides, of course, the suppressed frustrating moments and fluctuating moods that every human encounter in the course of the day🤓

It could be a bit gusty and wet today so drive safe everyone and have a wonderful weekend🙏

The chef and the kitchen team hustled …in the hot and hectic kitchen environment….trying their best to cook, plate and serve the customers their order on time…..before quickly jumping over to work on the next order. Very hard working and dedicated set of people, I would say.

The front team members quickly and politely served the freshly prepared orders to the customers….with smiles….before quickly attending to other visitors and also arranging tables for reservations made. They are very hardworking, polite and dedicated too.

It “felt good” to serve the customers, a young and smart couple…with the lady wearing a striking red top (with her green jacket hung on the chair next to her) and her partner wearing a black tee….and also a sense of satisfaction to see them enjoying their meal.

It is our pleasure and duty to make our customers happy and satisfied. After all!

We did our part…to the best of our ability. However, it was a real sour feeling for everyone involved in …attending to the couple… to find out later (from the blinking unpaid table from the POS system) that they did not do theirs. They decided to just get up and leave without any attempts, whatsoever, to make the payment for the service/food that they ordered and ate (from the surveillance cameras)

More than the money involved, it felt really bad that the time and efforts put in by everyone was such a waste.

This is not the first time that this happened. It was another smart couple (as they appeared in the surveillance cameras too…unfortunately ) about a month ago.

We do not wish to post the footage/s but we would surely wish to advise our young people not to indulge in such activities. And also maybe remind them that not all establishments are this considerate and that they could, quite possibly, land themselves in an illegal and embarrassing situations 😢

The most saddest part is to find out that they are from my country. What a pity 🥹

We would also like to wish them the best though with hope that they improve their habits and attitudes. Sooner the better for them, in fact 👊

Dear patrons and visitors, this is let you all know that Mountain Mantras will remain closed tomorrow (Wednesday the 31st of July 2024) for some urgent repairs and maintenance.

Hi all, good morning …. Mountain Mantras will remain closed today (11/03/2024). Tuesday will be closed too…as usual.

We need to do some repairs and maintenance

We will reopen for business on Wednesday (13/03/2024)

A year ago…on this date…..a rag-tag but a very enthusiastic and committed team of people got together and embarked on a journey - unknown and uncertain.

A bit fearful…..a bit hopeful….. yet decided to take the ride ….. together….anyways

Despite’s the ups and downs and crazy hours at work…..etc….It’s not been in vain because :

- we got a lot of love and continue to do so
- we made lot of friends and continue to make more
- we learned a lot and continue to learn more

It was not just the dedication and efforts of the team (I should add here that they actually perform beyond expectations despite being practically novices) we would probably not be around if not for our valued and lovely supporters and visitors.

A year !!! Feels like yesterday though😳

The tiny Mountain Mantras and its absolutely sweet and hard working team members have been trying to cater to every one visiting the restaurant……to the best of their ability

The chefs are trying their best to ensure that they prepare and serve the freshest and - as authentic as they can prepare from local ingredients—Bhutanese/nepalese dishes.

The management has been working really tirelessly to ensure that they source and procure…. items that our visitors prefer and love to eat at Moyntain Mantras ….from the most reliable of suppliers

And, it really is a great honour and pleasure to see people loving the food at the restaurant…and going back home…happy, satisfied and well stuffed (😁)

As much as we want to make it a perfect experience to everyone, including ourselves (who wouldn’t want that? 😊)………..things..unfortunately happens ……….Orders gets delayed….ordered items may be missed out….systems may act funny, equipments may breaks down, items may runs out …blah blah….

BUT…it doesn’t mean that you act RUDE with the team members. If you have doubts or problems, explain and it can/will be resolved.

PLEASE TREAT OUT STAFF WELL or rather “LETS TREAT EACH OTHER WELL”
