Kicking off our 2024 fitness goals, the Team at Matrix enjoyed a friendly game of Badminton this week at Nick Kidd Badminton Arena We went in as Amateurs and learnt to flick, smash & drop in no time. We had a great time supporting local business while getting our heart rates up and promoting staff health and wellbeing. The competition will be gearing up a notch next month when we head back for round two.

We recently helped one of our clients achieve the best possible result with their claim after they came to us with damages to their workshop spray booth.

Our Claims Manager Lara was able to lodge, process and pay this claim within 6 days. This meant the client was able to receive funds from their insurer in time to pay the spray booth repairer for the job, so they were not out of pocket whilst waiting for the claim to be paid.

We went to Kalgoorlie!

Last week Claudia (Account Manager) and I jumped on a plane and spent the day visiting our Matrix clients.

It was a great trip getting to know our customers and how we can continue to provide them with the best insurance cover for their business.

The York Hotel pictured here is a fantastic client and beautiful pub. A great spot to enjoy an icy cold beer and delicious pub lunch!

We attended our client's opening night and what a fantastic night it was... Club Australia

VIP opening night was Thursday 13th April.

Our MD Oliver attended and he said. "Great night. Flight Clubs second venue and the venue is spectacular. Very fun venue and great for all ages and darting ability!"

Matrix Insurance recently attended the Steadfast Convention Perth this week.

It was a fantastic event and an opportunity to connect with insurers, underwriters and industry suppliers as well as some inspiring key note speakers.

Our client contacted us advising they had suffered a Cyber attack involving a Phishing incident where an employees IT (including email) account were hacked and the offenders had sent an email to 5000 of their clients with a link requesting personal information.

Our Claims Manager at Matrix got on top of this straight away and contacted the Cyber Incident Response Centre to notify them of the incident who then straight away appointed a Legal IT team and a forensic investigator who worked closely with the clients IT department to minimise the risk and exposure straight away and fix the issue.

Because Matrix Insurance appointed the Cyber Incident response so quickly our client saved $2,500 in excess and helped to mitigate the claims loss.
