The Road Safety Commission was pleased to attend the Big Bike Month Blast Off at Lake Monger yesterday for the official launch of WA Bike Month with Transport WA and WestCycle!

Suzy and Mel from our community engagement team had the opportunity to chat to attendees about the importance of wearing helmets and being visible on the road. There was also a range of scooters and eRideables on hand, showcasing the different options available for each age group.

It was great to be a part of this wonderful event!

We are pleased to announce our new sponsor for our first ERL Megafast Raceday in Wanneroo. E-Riderz sells EUCs, electric bikes, and a range of rider gear. Many of our racers have wheels and gear from E-Riderz, so it is great to have them on board to support the Electric Racing League and the PEV community as we grow this sport. Always ride to the conditions and slow down where there’s congestion, before turning corners and when passing pedestrians.

eRideables have become a popular choice of transport for West Aussies.

Most people are doing the right thing by riding them safely and sensibly.

But some deliberately flout the law - which puts themselves and those around them in danger.

So we're doing what we can to target unsafe behavior - to ensure our roads and paths remain safe for everyone.
