I have just completed a wonderful 8 days of training in Ubud Bali. Learning how to combine Yin Yoga with Acupuncture and the meridians systems. Muscle relaxation is a key ingredient in Yin Yoga, which is so different from other styles of yoga practice, allowing us to stretch the fascia ( layers of connective tissue). The Acupuncture meridians reside inside our fascia. Stretching the fascia can help facilitate a healthy flow of Qi (energy) inside the meridians and our body, promoting the body’s natural healing abilities and help with the symptoms of many medical conditions. Getting excited!! New Acupuncture clinic in the works 🤩

Spent my day off doing a first aid course. I have been doing these for 20 years now Starting in the Army, then yearly as a personal trainer, as a surf life saver and of course as a Chinese Medicine Doctor. It’s feels good to revise these always, as you never know when you might need these skills.

Visiting Lombok island last week in Indonesia, I found this little Chinese restaurant with jars of Traditional Chinese Medicine on display. Love that Chinese herbs are used all over the world and can be helpful with so many health conditions. They can be made into personalised formulas and used together with acupuncture to treat different illnesses. But I am even more excited that something as simple as spices used in cooking, can have therapeutic effects and are easy to incorporate into your daily life.
