Money wonโt change things.
It wonโt buy you more time. It will only enhance how you FEEL about time.
It wonโt buy you more happiness. It will only enhance how you currently feel.
It might buy you more things, but those things only enhance how you feel when you have those things.
Feelings are a choice. And you get to choose how you feel right now. So if you want to feel relaxed and calm โwhen you have more money to hire a teamโ you better start feeling that now!
Stop trying to outsource tasks you hate!!
Every single time a client tells me their VA isnโt working or they feel overwhelmed but they have support, it is ALWAYS because they havenโt built an actual role within their business.
You need to build a 9-5 (full time, part time, casual) role, with a job description and a full understanding of what that person is RESPONSIBLE for if you are really ready to build a business that not only operates smoothly, but is able to scale.

They are having fertility issues, health scares, relationship arguments, kids and schooling concerns, financial stress and everything in between.
Now add in running a business to that.
While it may seem like every other business owner around you (especially online) has their s**t together.
I can assure you...THEY DO NOT.
No one has their s**t together all of the time.
The good news?
It is 100% possible to run a successful business without feeling like you have your s**t together.
What gets those through that look like they have it together all of the time?
Their inner peace.
They go harder on those elements that support them when everything else is a bit chaotic.
They anchor down on the routines and strategies that support them.
And for everything else they can't control they remember that everything has seasons, and feeling like you don't have your s**t together won't last forever.

The concept "just focus on your zone of genius and outsource the rest" will see you struggle to run your business and constantly wondering why you aren't growing.
Hone in on what you are trying to build for the future and make decisions from there, instead of your "zone of genius".
The price that you charge is never just for your service or product, it includes everything your customer experiences.
The price that any luxury brand charges is never just for the product, itโs for the experience you have when making the purchase. The same goes for when buying something on the cheaper end.
While you can decide to be at any end of the market in terms of price, your customer service and how your clients experience you during the buying process of service delivery, drastically changes depending on where your price sits.
If you want a long lasting business, that clients rave about, matching your customer experience to what you charge is a critical piece of the puzzle ๐งฉ
Itโs time to actually build your business so it doesnโt rely on you all of the time!
I made a huge decision in my personal life recently, and it has impacted how I show up for my business.
We decided we wouldn't be having any more babies.
Josh has been on this train for a while, but it has taken me some time to decide what I wanted. Now that I have landed, the decision has never felt more right.
But, since making the decision a few weeks ago I have felt so much heaviness in my business.
While I am about to have a whole lot of firsts...
first time in full year school, first time I have a 5 year old, first time I have more than 15 hours to myself a week.
I'm also about to have a whole lot of lasts...
last time I will have a child at home with me, last time I will have a 4 year old, last time I will be a stay at home mum.
Itโs these lasts that are making me want to slow time down.
My business isn't going anywhere. But my baby is growing. And I'll be damned if I miss it.
Nothing will p**s me off more than if in 10 years time I wish that I hadnโt worked so hard in my business and instead spent more time with her.
I always say to my clients โif every single one of your dreams came true at 60, but you didnโt get any of them until you were 59, would you be upset?โ
Itโs time to take some of my own advice.
There is always time.
Social media can be so noisy and make you believe that you have to achieve every business goal within .5 seconds of being in business.
But we all have our own timelines.
Trust that more than you trust any business strategy.
For me this means I will be putting all of my energy first and foremost into my current clients.
Iโll still be here showing up but I wonโt be pushing to grow. I will be taking things as they come and implementing the things I really want to instead of the things I know will grow my business.
And then, when the time is right for me to move back into a growth stage, you will know ๐

When I didnโt reach my goals, I was told โyou have a money mindset issueโ.
When I would explain how it had been a slow month I was told โthatโs a lack mindsetโ.
It had become a clutch.
It had become the thing that every time I had a money issue I instantly though "I have a money mindset issue".
And what happens when we believe we have somethingโฆ
We end up having it!
As someone whoโs grown up for the last 33 years surrounded by people in business, I never ever heard of the term โmoney mindsetโ until I got into the online space.
Which naturally led me to question it.
I realised it wasnโt a money mindset issue, it was two sperate things.
Money knowledge and beliefs.
If I had a belief that I wasn't worthy enough to earn money, its a worthiness issue not a money issue. Money is just the byproduct. It could be not feeling worthy of love or friendship...the issue is still worthiness, not money!
Money knowledge however is just that, knowledge about how money actually works and all the different aspects that come with that.
When I decided that I would learn how money worked, when I decided that I would become the CEO that was obsessed with understanding the money in her business, the minute the money started coming through with ease!
But that wasn't enough, to ensure it wasn't just a me issue...I started to implement just the money knowledge work (without the beliefs work) with my clients.
And guess what, they have ALL started to make more money!
Why? Because they are no longer being told they have a money mindset issue ๐

Absolutely nothing.
My business didn't burn to the ground and I still made money.
In fact, not only did I not post, I did not sell a single offer on my stories...
And I made more money than the month before.
Here's why ๐
When you realise that business is so much more than marketing it doesn't matter if you take a break from doing it.
You're business should still be able to run, and sustain your cashflow, if you take a break from your marketing.
If it can't...you need to ask yourself why only new people want to buy your stuff.
This doesn't mean you don't have to market.
It means you don't have to freak the f**k out if you aren't posting and selling consistently if you have the other areas of your business
covered.
Save this as your reminder that your business is so much more than your marketing.
Building a brand with raving fans will always out win good marketing.

This has been a huge topic of conversation in my coaching containers the last few weeks.
I also shout this from my socials which you may know if you have been around for a while.
If at the end of us working together you feel like you NEED to stay in my world to get results, I have not done my job.
All of my clients have a similar belief.
They don't want their clients to feel like they need to keep seeing them (be it a massage therapist, a coach or a social media manager).
BUT...
There is a big difference between NEED and WANT.
While I don't want my clients to feel like they NEED to stay, I sure as s**t want them to feel like they WANT to stay.
The difference, one is coming from a place of fear and the other empowerment.

It's f**king scary being the person who goes against the grain.
The person who speaks up.
The person who says what everyone else is too afraid to say.
The person who knows they are going to get heat every single time they say something but

But let me tell you, nothing will get you further in business than courage. And it's not something you get overnight.
It's a muscle you need to build.
You have already started building it. You may have just forgotten though.
Courage is the thing that made you a business owner in the first place.
It's what sets you apart from everyone else.
It's what allows you to keep going when the going gets tough.

When you tell yourself the truth you feel powerful.
When you lie to yourself you feel weak and fearful.
What have you been telling yourself this whole time?
Sometimes it's hard to decipher what we
are telling ourselves. Anchor into the feeling you get, to determine if perhaps you need to change what you have been believing this whole time.
While you're out there figuring out if your prices feel aligned... she's out there knowing she JUST NEEDS TO START and the alignment in price will come.
If you have been trying to sell a particular offer, or have been trying to achieve a financial goal and you just can't seem to crack it...this is likely why.
You aren't in alignment with receiving that amount of money...YET.
And news flash...it isn't just money mindset work you need to do to change that!
You need to build your authority and confidence. Both of these things come from getting results.
You can't expect to come out of the gate and earn X amount even though you are seeing what everyone else might be doing.
That is what they are doing NOW.
Not where they started.
The biggest misalignment in your business is seeing all the big goals you can make, and then charging from that place.
Instead of creating offers you are absolutely obsessed with and charging what you can get behind 1000%.
There is nothing wrong with knowing your place and knowing where you are starting from.
Run your own god damn race.
Stop trying to compete with everyone else.
Stop trying to get results just so you can convince people your business is working.
Focus on the long game.
Build a business that aligns and changes as you grow.
Like anything, when you start getting too much advice you get confused.
Everyone has a different opinion and life experience as well as their perspective.
Business is overwhelming as it is, add in getting a million different pieces of advice and we have a recipe for feeling confused.
Confusion leads to not taking action.
The most important thing we can do in business is always move forward.
So if you are finding yourself not taking action it might be time to look at how many different voices you are consuming.
Learning this skill is without a doubt the one thing that has allowed my business to run when revenue is slower.
It also single-handedly keeps me sane every single week in my business and life!
This isnโt something you can just โoutsourceโ to your accountant. You need to understand this as a business owner.
Just like you would learn a skill specific to your craft, if youโre a business owner this is a skill you need to learn in order to run a successful business.
Comparison is the thief of your joy!
Seriously every time you compare you are missing out on the magic of your specific journey.
Donโt worry about anyone else. Just stay focused, eyes forward, and enjoy every ๐ single ๐ moment ๐
Ok it's time to have a conversation. One you probably don't want to have.
Business isn't about your passion. It isn't about what you love doing. And it isn't necessarily about money...I know...wtf Laura!
Just hear me out.
Let's look at a non-profit organisation for a second. They aren't in it to make those that started it rich. They are in it to make a difference, to help people.
But Laura you just said it wasn't about peoples passion?
You're right. It isn't.
It is however about how MANY people they can help.
So now let's look at a private business, whose focus is to ensure they turn a profit. How do they turn a profit? By building a business that helps MANY people.
So how do we help lots of people?
By building systems and processes that can SCALE ๐ฅ
And news flash, that belief that you have that makes you think you aren't ready to scale yet or when you're ready to scale you will do these things...you've missed the point.
๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐จ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ข๐จ ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ.
And please for the love of god stop thinking that processes and systems are f**king SOP's. I may actually die if someone tells me that is what they are again.
They are EVERYTHING you do in your business. Do you post content on different platforms? That is a system. Do you have meetings with people? That is a process.
And you don't actually have to write all of this s**t down. Some of it is just you actually taking the time to know how and WHY you do something the way you do in your business.
The quicker you realise you need to fall in love with the process of business...of falling in love with BUSINESS not just what you do as your zone of genius, the quicker you will see real change in your business.
And if you don't want to fall in love with it...maybe you need to go and get a job or a hobby doing whatever it is you love ๐ซ
The aim of a business is to run while covering its costsโฆthose costs include paying yourself CONSISTENTLY!
Focus on this first before focusing on becoming a 6, 7, 8 figure business.
If you havenโt mastered covering all of your costs and paying yourself consistently FIRST that dream of all of a sudden making millions in your business is going to be almost impossible to achieve.
Itโs not just strategy and logisticsโฆitโs how you think and feel about that concept thatโs going to move you forward.
If you havenโt built a business to do that and be comfortable that it may only cover your expenses for a few years youโre probably in business for the wrong reasons.
Itโs time to get excited about the life of your business.
We all know now that no quick diet is ever going to keep the weight offโฆyour business is the same. There is no quick overnight way to make you money.
There are changes you can implement that will see you have a different result in your business quicklyโฆ
but if you arenโt ready for the big changeโฆ
you will find yourself always feeling like you are starting from scratch.
Building a business can feel like itโs slow and steady instead of fast and hectic but we all know who won out of the Tortoise and the Hare ๐ข
There is a very big difference between having clients who WANT to continue with you vs clients who feel they NEED to continue with you.
I donโt ever want my clients to feel like they get to the end of being in a container of mine and think โs**t I still have so much to do I need to stayโ.
If that is the case, I have not done my job. I havenโt structured the program properly in order to support you to get the results.
This goes for any coach or service business. No one wants to have clients who have that energy of neediness. Because what comes with neediness is resentment.
Instead you want your clients to feel EMPOWERED. You want them to WANT to stay with you because they get incredible results. Because they want to be in your energy. Because they want to learn from you.
Not because they feel like itโs too hard to go somewhere else. Or itโs too hard to get someone else to understand their business.
Be the type of business owners whoโs clients never want to leave because they donโt want to. Not because they feel like they canโt.
Every service, every offer, every tiered service has a different client you are helping.
It would be impossible for one client to need every single thing in your business all at the same time.
They may need everythingโฆbut they wonโt need it all at once.
As they move through their initial problem they will move onto the next stage, and the next stage, and the stage after that.
Each time they have different needs and wants.
Focus on these at every stage instead of how old your ideal client is, or how many kids, or where they live. Cause literally NONE OF THIS MATTERS!
Itโs so easy to get caught up in shiny object syndrome when in business.
When we build a business from a place of not deeply knowing why we are actually doing it, its going to feel HARD.
Yes all business can feel hard at times but this is that kind of hard that has you asking โmaybe I should just go back and get a jobโ.
Business is so much more than just replacing your corporate income, or giving you freedom.
Itโs about life building!
If you are constantly feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burnt out or unsure in your business you are unaligned.
And no one builds a successful business from that place.
Your business WILL NOT WORK if you donโt actually have the correct operations setup in your business.
Sure, for a while you will absolutely smash it with bringing in clients and making bank.
Your focus will heavily be on making sales and while that is sooo necessary if all of your clients have payment issues, canโt get access and arenโt receiving emailsโฆ
It will only be so long before you lose all of your clients and you hit complete burnout.
I have coached 100s of women and every single time they experience overwhelm it is without a doubt always due to how they are actually running their business.
We want to build businesses like a machine. Where every area of your business is a piece that plugs into that machine to make it work. If youโre feeling overwhelmed or burnt out I can almost guarantee this part of the machine is broken.
Is it people pleasing or is it good customer support?
The power is in being grateful for exactly where you are while still focusing on your goals โจ

Just because you canโt directly see if your podcast or your employees or your website are making you a sale doesnโt mean itโs not worth doing or isnโt working.
Every team member, every podcast episode, every post is building your business. Itโs building the momentum so that you can reach overflow.
