We Celebrated our 70th Anniversary in Melbourne on Friday night as the 2nd part of our Platinum Anniversary with our East Coast team.

We’ve had fun this week putting together a collection of some of our favourite moments from Kounis Group’s 70th-anniversary gala dinner.
It was an evening of laughs, memories and black-tie glamour, not to mention a trip down memory lane, but also a celebration of what’s yet to come for our company as we kicked up our heels and looked to the future.
Highlights of the evening – and there were many – included a 70th-anniversary cake and a surprise video message from then Premier Mark McGowan, and a speech by Kounis Managing Director Dave Kounis. Dave is the son of Paul Kounis, our 91-year-old founder who is still involved in our business.

Tonight, we head to the Ballroom at The Westin Hotel Perth to celebrate the Kounis Group’s 70th anniversary.

Joining us will be many of the family, colleagues and friends who have been part of our journey as we’ve grown and evolved over the past seven decades.

It’s been fun putting together a timeline charting the landmark moments in our history, from humble beginnings as a backyard start-up in 1953, to leading designer and manufacturer of metal products.

The excitement is building as we look forward to our official 70th-anniversary celebrations on Saturday. But first, we’ve got another important birthday milestone to celebrate.

Many happy returns Paul. We can’t wait to celebrate seven decades of the company you started in 1953 on the back of a metalwork apprenticeship and the can-do attitude that has become the hallmark of our company.
