Audiology clinic providing holistic hearing healthcare and tinnitus management services. We take pride in offering high quality individualised care to our clients.

A position has become available for an experienced administration assistant with experience in audiology. This role undertakes all aspects of reception in a friendly environment with excellent and flexible working conditions.

Seeking someone with experience and confidence in:
- all aspects of healthcare reception
- phone/appointment making/billing/receipts -claiming through the Hearing Services Program
- data entry and scanning

The successful application will have superior interpersonal skills and a strong focus on client needs, high attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to multi-task and has superior communication skills.

Flexibility to cover leave is highly desirable.

What I Wish People With Normal Hearing Understood About Hearing Loss In my long journey from occasional frustration at a few missed words to reluctant purchase of my first hearing aids to wearing my current ones 16 hours a day, I have observed the behavior of those (mostly younger) people whose speech I have been trying ever harder to understand.

GPs are often the first people consulted about hearing loss . Some are very supportive but not all are . So if you have concerns about your hearing, speak to an audiologist who has a very good understanding of how hearing loss can impact your life and the lives of those around you, and how you can address it .

How Doctors Speak About Hearing Loss and Hearing Aids Matters Confronting hearing loss can be a challenging moment in your life. When navigating this journey, there is one factor that’s receiving more attention recently: How one’s healthcare provider approaches and explains hearing loss and hearing aids.

To hear for life, listen with care! This Hearing Awareness Week, we are focusing on the importance of preventing hearing loss by avoiding prolonged noise exposure. Loud noise has a significant affect on hearing loss

World Hearing Day (WHO) 3 March 2022 is the centre-piece of Hearing Awareness Week which runs from 1-7 March.

This year’s theme is ‘ to hear for life, listen with care’, and the focus is on the importance of hearing loss prevention through safe listening.

‘It is possible to have good hearing across the life course through ear and hearing care’.

Bev is back!! Well, Bev and her walking boot 😊 She is still on her healing journey following ankle surgery, and therefore she will be working on a part-time basis. The physical and emotional resilience Bev has displayed over the last few months has been inspiring, and we are super happy to have her back! Gibb-for-girls!

ENT specialist Dr Fiona Whelan is soon to embark on a not so leisurely 660 km bike ride (over 5 days) along the Gibb River Road. Fiona is raising money for the Kalumburu Strong Women’s Centre. She has seen first hand how challenging life can be in this community, and she is passionate about making a difference. The Strong Women’s Centre in Kalumburu was established as a domestic violence refuge for women and children. It serves as a place that provides women and girls the opportunities through art, education and the development of business skills. The centre runs on very little funding and donations will ensure the centre can continue to be a place of safely and support for the girls and women in the Kalumburu community. Let’s Gibb-for-girls!!
