This is actually a very late post as Sara left Little Herberts a while ago. But you know how it goes - life gets busy and before you know it 2 months have passed!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to this wonderful human being. Not only a talented hairdresser, an awesome braider, fantastic teacher (for those who managed to snag tickets to our braiding workshops) and accomplished barber, she is also one of the most hard working people I’ve ever met. Kind, gracious, generous with her time and a real pleasure to spend time with. She was a real asset to the team and will be much missed.

Thank you for everything. Wishing you health, happiness and joy in whatever you decide to do next. Safe travels, lots of love from all of us 😘

SCHOOL HOLIDAY FAV 🥰

Every school holidays we get lots of bookings for girls to come in and get their hair washed, trimmed and braided, and because there's no school invariably this service comes with lots of sparkles!

It’s a great habit or routine to get into, popping in every 10 weeks during the hols just to keep on top of those split ends, which as we all know, results in growing the hair stronger and ultimately longer - sometimes a tricky concept to explain to our younger girls who want that aspirational Elsa hair 👸

THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL 👸✨

She really is, like Kylie, this Fairy Queen needs no introduction - but I will because, well, I want to celebrate the magical qualities of Brooke.

Brooke has been a part of our family for about 4 years but if feels like she’s always been here. She has helped to grow this business into what it is today, she encapsulates our philoshophy whole heartedly. She is a brilliant hairdresser, creative and full of lots of ideas. She is the Glitter Queen and if your daughter has ever had braids from her then you’ll know what I’m talking about 🤣

She has two young daughters and so totally knows how to interact with the kids, her ‘coolness’ appeals to our dapper chaps and her ‘loveliness’ appeals to our little princesses. Always wearing bright and colourful clothing she’s a breath of fresh air and makes the kids feel so settled and welcome. Once in the chair, she then goes to work and produces a variety of hairstyles to suit any brief that is thrown at her. She loves to chat and so many of the parents enjoy her company too.

She’s a braider extraordinaire and I think that secretly that’s her fav thing to do.

Brooke works part time - Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, you can check out her availability online and you can request her on those days.

COOL CUTS FOR KIDS

Here’s a little snapshot of what we do so very well - cool cuts. Just look at the level of concentration from Kylie here - that’s also over 30 years of experience right there with 10 years doing kids’ hair.

We’ve got the set up just right too, with fun colourful capes, funky car and aeroplane seats and all the kids’ fav shows on our iPads, as well as an X-box for the older kids who like to play video games - it’s kids haircutting heaven!

If your little herbert needs a trim, restyle or general tidy up, pop online today and book them in, spots for a Saturday tend to get booked up 2-3 weeks in advance these days and that’s with 4 hairdressers working. The same goes for school hols too - so it might be time to get organised... and don’t forget Chrissy is just around the corner!

MAGIC MIEKO 🪄

Introducing the magic that is Mieko

Like Lesley she’s also fairly new to team LH and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her to the fold. Mieko is from Japan and arrived in Perth a short while ago having driven from Sydney across the Nullaboor!!

She saw our recruitment ad and fell in love with the idea of working with us and I’m so glad she did. She has such a positive energy about her, she is warm, generous, kind and funny. Oh and she is an amazing hairdresser - in fact she restyled my hair and I’m just loving my new look.

You and your kids are in very safe hands with her - she’s available part time while she studies so if you fancy a new hair do or a pamper you’d be well served by booking yourself in with Mieko. Pop online and snag a spot with her, she’s currently working Thursdays and Saturdays with a few extra days here and there.

CRAZY CAT 🐱

Now you all know who this crazy cat is. This lady needs no introduction - well maybe a little one for those of you who haven’t been to see us just yet. This is Kylie and she’s been with us for over 4 years - almost since the beginning.

Where do I start describing Kylie? First off she’s a Ninja (so nicknamed by a client who left us an amazing review after a haircut performed by Kylie) she’s no nonsense, kind, and one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. Beyond reliable and woud do anything for you. She cares passionately about the kids and loves, loves doing their hair.

Without Kylie I’m not sure Little Herberts would be as popular or successful as it is, she has so many clients who will only see her - and no one else, I’ve been told by some Mums that their kids call her ‘their own’ hairdresser!!

Thanks for everything you do for us, we love you Kylie.
