Recently I had an enquiry from a lovely customer from the USA about one of my Journals. This was the first time I’d sent an order overseas and I was both nervous and excited about its safe arrival. Last Thursday I awoke to the wonderful news that it had arrived safely along with some lovely words about the delight the journal has brought to its new proud owner 🥰 Thank you so much Sharon 🫶 🎨

A quick post to let you know I’m taking a little time out. I need to recharge, regroup and replenish my creative energy. New items will be added to my Made it shop in Mid May. I will do some posts to let you know closer to the time when things have been added. Until then keep building your magical layers for they are the key to possibly and wonder 🫶

A huge thank you to everyone who came to my stall at the Paper Crafters Market yesterday. It was a great day and so nice to see many familiar faces. I truly appreciate all of your support of my little handmade paper business. I will try to get some stock listed in my Made It shop in the coming weeks.

These are some of the layered paper embellishments that I had at my stall yesterday. They are perfect to use as an embellishment on a card, a pocket or even a tuck spot. The perfect addition any junk journal or scrapbook. Some of these have now gone to their new homes where I hope that they will bring much joy and inspiration 🤩

As you know, I’m all about the layers. Layers don’t have be something that covers the entire surface. They are anything that adds another dimension, another texture or another point of interest. I love to add stitching to my handmade journals and ephemera, it brings it to a whole other level. Hope to see you at my Market Stall in South Perth on the 17th March 🎨

These started as a little paper book page pocket. I then realised that they fit perfectly on these mini paper bags that I had aged with tea. They needed a little contrast so in came the piece of fabric and stitching. They were cute but I wanted to add tags to show the pockets and tucks.A few little stamps and they just came out so sweet 😍 I have tucked in 10 additional miniature dictionary pages. I needed a way to hold them up, then came the perfect finishing touch of a cute paperclip and bead dangle 🙌 They will be available at my Market Stall in South Perth on the 17th March 🎨

Sometimes when I start to create things I don’t actually know what they are going to be. I don’t always have a clear direction. I trust in the flow and I just make based on what I think is beautiful. That is why I say “make for beautiful sake” sometimes things evolve in the most magical and unexpected ways ….Hope to see you at my Market Stall in South Perth on the 17th March 🎨

There is something about the start of a new year. It brings about a yearning for new discoveries, new inspiration and new beginnings…. I’m making my way through all of my craft supplies currently. Making space for these new ideas to be in so as they don’t overcrowd or overwhelm my creative flow. 🎨
