I had the chance to play with some newly achieved buttercream sculpting skills by adding the 3D flowers to this cake. I loved the finished result and Hopi g to add this to more cakes in the future

Here are the inspiration pics I was given and the cake I created. The dimensions were tricky to perfect but I think I nailed the cherub. I used a 50/50 mix of fondant and modelling chocolate for the statue so he was completely edible and the base is salted caramel mudcake with salted caramel ganache and fondant ‘stonework’.

A wedding cake with a beachside theme. I made my own moulds for the sugar shells from real shells I found. It was a bit of a process but the only way to get a realistic (and delicious) finish.
